. I think most people agreed the deadline for the name should be Aug 1 which would line up nicely with the FE cutoff of Sep 1 to make it easy to remember.

So do we think we can come to a decision on the name in 6 days?

We haven't been discussing the name over on FB, but I agree we need to decide soon...August 1 is THIS WEEKEND, so we really need to do something I guess!

I'm pretty sure Quacking Up on the Dream is gonna be the winner, based on previous votes, but I'm fine with whatever.

Also, I'm getting ready to order FE stuff this weekend!! Sooo excited--only 73more days until we sail!

Since we are new can I ask a stupid question. What exactly is the FE? I mean I see it's small gifts, but what do people give? Is it per person or per stateroom? What are the wristbands I am seeing on here? Sorry for the questions.

No such thing as a stupid question. FE refers to Fish Extenders and they are cute pocket hangers that hang by the door of your cabin for fellow DISers to put the small gifts into. Here is a wonderful thread to see a wide variety of FEs - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2754783 You can make them yourself, http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=30302583&postcount=609 (if you dont sew) or order one off of Etsy or Ebay.

The gifts don't need to be much. Just little trinket/gadgety gifts. Some people gift 1 gift per room, other 1 gift per person. Some people give gifts every day, others once per cruise. Some make their gifts and some buy them. It is totally up to the individual what they give.

The wristbands are something that just help us identify other DISsers. They are just those silicone bracelets you see with sayings on them (at least that is what I am ordering. LOL). If you would like some for your family, just post here and we will add you to the list.

Does anyone know if there is a penalty for changing the name of someone on the cruise?

You could always have moved on of the adults (over 21) in your party in that room just to follow that rule even if in reality he will not be sleeping in the room. This is what DCL told us when we booked our 2 connecting staterooms the kids will have one room and DH and I will have the other. On the ressie DH is in one room with DS and I'm in the other with the twins.

In any case I am glad you found out before and resoled the issue before getting at the port - can you imagine getting denied boarding for that

We tried that. But the problem is we have 4 rooms. And we only had 3 people who are over 21. They tried the connecting room route but EVERY room has to have someone over 21 registered. So if you are parents with kids, you could register 1 parent and 1 kid in each room. Then like you said once you are on the boat, it really doesnt matter where you sleep.



To the above poster who asked about changing a name.... with DVC it was $95 charge to DVC to change a name but that was before we were in the penalty phase of less than 75 days. If you booked directly thru Disney Cruise line, I would just call and ask them. My guess is that there would be some kind of penalty since we are now under 75 days. Also it depends on which category stateroom you booked when your penalty phase begins.
