Does Disney do NEW releases of their movies? Does the Dream have 3D capability?

Lion King 3D is released to movie theaters on 9/16!!!!


Maybe the Winnie the Pooh movie will be playing on board... or Spooky Buddies, Mars Needs Moms, and Disneynature: African Cats will all be coming to DVD before we sail (here's where I looked it up... too bad the Muppets won't be playing yet!)

I did read somewhere that it does have 3D capabilities and they do show first run movies

I didn't even know there was another Lion King coming out

I'm hoping they will be showing the new POTC

It's not a NEW Lion King--it's the original, being released to theaters for a limited time, before the DVD/Blu-Ray comes out of the vault in October!

I saw Lion King 3 times at the movies when it first came out. 1st time was with my (shhhhhhhh dont tell dh) my boyfriend, 2nd time was with my step sister....3rd time... ummm...i dont remember but i know i saw it 3 times... LOL!!!

Would love to see it again with my current boyfriend..oh i mean DH.....

My hubby and I saw the Lion King together at the theater too, but the first Disney movie we saw on a date with each other was "Aladdin." He even got me a Rajah plush tiger for Christmas that year.

My husband and i saw Nine Months on our first date! Most Disney movies i think we have waited till they come out on DVD to see, but we did go see toy story 3 and the last POTC at the movies. I don't think i will be able to get him to see the Pooh movies though.. LOL

Me to Marianne!!!! If it was not the fact that i still need my summer attire i proabably would!! LOL. I am going to start putting the small things in there just to get them out of my way. I had to get me a new mask and snorkel (sorry can not use what is offered...something about using the snorkel after others just is not appealing to me) and travel size toiletries that i have bought here and there. We are not far from the 2 month mark!! I CANT BELIEVE IT!!!! WOOHOOO

(notice i used the word appealing and a banana in the same paragraph...pun intended.. LOL)

Ok, you all jinxed me talking about nightmares about getting sick, forgetting passports, etc, and not being able to get on the ship. -- Last night I dreamed that it was disembarking day, and we forgot to do anything - apparently we didn't leave our room the whole time. I was running around trying to at least take some pictures, and couldn't get my camera to cooperate, and the couple of characters I could find were getting mad at me because I couldn't get the picture taken....

Whew! Boy am I glad I woke up from that nightmare!

Venga Bus used to be one of my favorites from the Sail Away party years ago. I doubt that song is still on the play list since it has been used to advertise Six Flags.

Still, it is a fun, upbeat song and you have to love the seemingly old man dancing to it.

Happy First Day of School. It brings us that much closer to Fall Break and our Dream cruise.

Welcome aboard, Trisha!! I can't remember who mentioned the Pandora Music, but THANK YOU!! I love it!!! I listen to it on all of my computers now!! My hubby thinks I have lost it. LOL

Julie - when does the naming contest officially close? Not sure it will make a difference, but just wondered if anyone who hasn't voted has through today to vote or whether we can call it official now?

For those not on FaceBook - I asked for permission to take a little artistic license with the front runner and turn it into Quackin' up on the Dream. It takes up just enough less room that I can get it all on one side of the wristband.

Getting SO excited!! 69 Days!!!!!!!

I just created a new poll on the Cruise Meets forum "Name Poll for "Disney Dream - October 9, 2011 - 4 Nights" " since there was still only 16 votes on the private board and we have about 53 users total listed in roll call. So it didn't seem like a good representative number.

I have the top 5 names included and set polling to end at the end of this week. Whatever's on top by then we'll stick with If we get at least the 21 users interested in the wristbands to vote, I'll be happy and confident it speaks for the group.

On the lighter side, on Aug 6 we'll have the name debate settled and can move on to color for the wristlets (or something else, if the color's been decided. I think I recall someone mentioning Lime Green is a DIS "standard"?)
