Disney Dream - October 9, 2011 - 4 Nights

after talking with my DH we decided to book there too :goodvibes

But I want to make sure I get the Hyatt! :surfweb: When I look at the Last Minute Travel website the hotel at the bottom 111$ + tax looks like the Hyatt (Pictures) but why does it say it's 3.84 miles from the airport :confused3 The Hyatt is less than 1 miles from the airport

I'm I looking at the right one?

Yes, that's the one. I wasn't sure either, so both DH & I looked at the pics on the Hyatt website & Last Minute Travel site & decided it had to be it. Yes, it is! I'm so thankful this site was posted - I had never checked it out before.

It is the Hyatt Regency. I booked it about a month ago so the prices may have gone up, sorry. It is still a good deal compared to the Hyatt's website. My family & I like staying there because we get up in the morning and head downstairs and do not have to worry about our luggage! On the website it is a 4* towards the bottom of the page. I hope you can find a good deal!:)

I just booked

I guess i'll see you guys by the pool or in the bus in the am :goodvibes

Our plane lands around 7:30pm, we will grab a quick dinner and I know the boys will want to swim.

We are using DCL transportation to the port, we will have to check in at the terminal since we are Canadians :sad2:

What time do we have to be at the airport to check in?
@ Disneymom what do you mean you don't have to worry about the lugage? does the Hyatt transfer them to DCL buses?

The pool is on the small side, but is pretty cool because there is a runway beside it. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping in the airport and is not a far walk.

As for the luggage, when you check in tell them you are cruising with Disney and they will give you instructions. Last time we stayed there, they picked our luggage that morning and we just brought our carry on with us and went downstairs to check-in for the bus. Just make sure you have any medications, swimwear, and any other items you may need throughout the day because you will not see your luggage until the afternoon when it arrives at your stateroom.

We like to go downstairs and grab a quick breakfast and head to check-in around 8am. But that is only because we are so excited to get the terminal!

We had a dayroom at the Hyatt after our cruise in Sept. The pool is HUGE compared to the one on the ship;) plus the kids get to actually swim and move around in it :thumbsup2

Can't wait

20 Fridays until the cruise

how do you go about booking a room just for the day at the hyatt? Is it more? less? or same as if booking for the night? We will have alot of wait time from the time DCL buses drop us off at MCO and the time our plan leaves!

It was about 100$, I called them directly to make the reservation.

We were at MCO before 10am and had 7:30pm flight. It was very nice to have a place to chill out after the cruise. We got to swim, relax, watch TV, etc.

pirate:pirate: New POTC movie out today -- my kids are so excited, they made me buy tickets online already! Hope we get to see it at least on Funnelvision on the cruise! (anyone besides me have the theme song stuck in your head?!? Argh!!) pirate:

Radisson at the Port.....we used to stay close to MCO but prefer getting our towards the port, we rent a car and then are able to hit grocery store, liqour store, and get any last minute items we might need.....plus the hotel is great there.

That is where we are staying! We are also from PA...Flying out of Philly?

I also booked the Hyatt at MCO. However, I got a great deal on the room and used my credit card points for Hyatt vouchers. I'll only end up paying $30 for the room. I'm totally excited over this. If anyone else has that option I'd look into it. We don't get in until 10 pm and can't imagine driving anywhere.

Yup! That is what I'm thinking too. I told my DD that the airport also had a Krispy Kreme and a Chick-Fil-A and she went nuts. Guess I know where we will be eating that Saturday night.

Hello! This ? is for anyone who is a Castaway Club member who has already been able to book excursions..... I was wondering what times the excursions are for Nassau and Castaway Cay? I am pretty OCD about booking the very first day possible! (I'm the one on the phone at 6:55 a.m. exactly 180 days out to book WDW dining reservations!) :rotfl: And there are some excursions I know we want to book (or at least book asap so we have a better chance of getting them). So I was trying to plan what we want, and always need to plan out (i.e. -- obsess! ;)) our schedule ahead of time. So my real question was what the times are, so I will know ahead of time what we want to go for so I can be on the computer at 12:01 (midnight) exactly 75 days out to make our reservations! :surfweb:

I asked this on the regular threads, and it was suggested that I see if any kindly souls on our cruise thread had booked yet (or at least was able to) and could tell me. :disrocks: Come to think of it, I can't remember how far out platinum can book, so I might be a little early in asking this.... But could some of you veteran cruisers give me an idea?

Thanks! And I can't wait to see you all there!

If I remember correctly members can book as early as:

90 days in advance...Silver members
105 days " "..... Gold "
120 days ""..... Platinum "

we are still about 134 days out so no one was able to book excursion yet.

awwwwwwwwww mannnnnnnnnnnnnnn...

I haven't been getting the subscription updates by e-mail again. what the blippidy? I think we are getting close enough that I need to tell myself to look daily!

Anyway... we arrive the afternoon before and we're booked at Hyatt MCO too... I got a good rate using my corporate discount (yay!).

I assume we need to make final payment before we can make any reservations for excursions, etc, right?

I think we'll do some sort of excursion/getting off the boat and exploring in Nassau. We are definitely exploring Castaway Cay better than we did the last time. Maybe heading to the adults only area.

I need to do some research!
