Disney Dream June 24, 2012 5 Night Bahamian

Hi all. We have switched to this cruise! We are really excited and trying to keep it from the kids. This will be out 5th cruise (2nd on the dream, well 3rd since we did a B2B this April). We keep saying we are going to do something other than cruising, and keep coming back anyway! lol. It is me, dh, dd (12), ds (8) and ds (5). Family name is TheGoofy5 Inlaws are joining us as well, their first disney cruise.

I had no idea this was the podcast cruise. I have never listened to the podcasts. I think I will next time I am out for a long run. We have done the FE in the past, and I will think about organizing it if people are interested, we had a blast with it Looking forward to chatting with you all in the year to come!

Hi My family will be on the cruise...actually 11 of us My parents, my sister and her family and of course us. We're super excited! This will be the kids first cruise...we usually do WDW, so this will be a nice change. Once I get my TR finished, I can focus on the cruise...lots to read about!

Just discovered this thread. We're not involved with the podcast group, but are very excited about this cruise and all the planning that we get to do beforehand DH and I took a cruise with a similar itinerary almost 20 years ago for our honeymoon (june '92). We decided to celebrate our anniversary and share the fun with our kids DS15 & DD14 with a Disney cruise. Can't wait, but need the time to plan, plan, plan!

chknlady: It's nice to see another DISer that is not with the podcast part of the cruise. I'm not either and I was a little worried for some reason. Guess I thought I would not have as much fun. Then I smartened up, I'm going to be on a Disney Cruise of course I'm going to have fun!

We are also not part of the podcast group. While i do listen to the podcasts, we changed our original cruise from May '10, to this one to go on my birthday, only after that i discovered it was a podcast cruise. I would have liked to join them, but did not want to give up my onboard rebooking discount and shipboard credits we received to be a part of it. Can't wait to go!

i'm not worried about not being in the Podcast group, I don't know anything about it - so i guess i don't know what i'm missing! Wondered what cruisers with prior Castaway Cay experience thought about the private cabanas. They sound great, but i don't know if i could justify the price(?) Thoughts... Also,have been reading up on the earlier posts and I gotta ask "What's an FE?"
