Disney Dream 8th January 2012

Glad to see some more people on our cruise. Welcome. Cheeser Good luck with the FE. I bought one on Ebay but want to try to make one for my daughter and grandson. I also just recently got a Expression 2 and I'm still experimenting with what it can do. Hopefully I can come up with something cool as gifts. This is our first cruise, and we're really looking forward to it. My son is running the 1/2 marathon the day before and would like to do the full on Sunday but doesn't think he could walk onto the ship on his own steam. Hopefully we'll have good weather.:yay:

I will manage to get on the ship thats thats for sure !!!!!!
In fact thats the only thing I am sure about, we are doing the goofy challenge, will be nice to compare notes with your son.

If weve decided that 1 st day/night would be good for meet and greet what time? and can kids get into the bars for those that have kids?

Goofy Challenge tips, Go slow on the 1/2, I actually had a person pace me slow and he even grabbed my running belt to slow me down, after the 1/2 ice bath, and chocolate mile for recovery and keep moving nice and easy walking, for the full pace to make sure you have some steam to finish, fuel and hydration very important, mile 20-22 is my sticker and I scored a couple of orange slices which really helped.

RE Meet: Sorry no clue about what bars kids are allowed into, anytime works for us.

Looking forwrd to meeting you too, do you think the first day/night would be best for a meet? thats what i think but what does everybody else think?

I think the first night would be fine for a meet and gather... We would love to meet up with everyone. Cant wait to explore this ship! We have been the Magic and the Wonder but not on the Dream. This will be our 4th Disney cruise. We are sooo excited...

Thats great, we need to decide on a time, whens first dinner again? we are always on 2nd dinners.

We could always meet someplace on deck for sail away - that will not interfere with early dinner, and kids are welcome.

Yes, but I think that can be a busy time and I think it might be difficult to find a place as most peeps have never been on the ship before, But Im up for anything.:hippie:

It is a big ship so a specific place is the best, I would vote for 687, in the evening after late dinner the first night, but am open to whatever.

Sounds great, only thing is if the kids all want to meet, not sure if its adults just as I know the kids dont care about things like this.

otherwise this sounds like a great time to meet and laugh at me trying to walk.

As long as we don't miss anything big happening, I am open to anything. We don't have any kids so to us it's not a problem where we meet. We have done another meeting like this in a bar on our previous cruise and it was a good location. :thumbsup2

Can not wait for the cruise - just over 5 months away :)

We actually just booked another vacation after this cruise - to Paris and will spend a day at Disneyland Paris while there!! Two Disney vacations in one year - woohoo!!

Look forward to seeing you all on board!

Cool, never fancied euro disney, but thats just me, I bet it will be great.

I know my kids would like to meet up with others. The sooner they make friends the better for them. They are both of an age where new friends are their best friends ever. We don't know the ships so will defer to others on where but would encourage a place that is Kid accessible. Wife has gone through iteration 16 on the FE. She just got a silohete(sp?) and lives for doing crafty things with it.

The last cruise we went on where we talked on the Disboards we all wore matching colored shirts and met up at sail away. There is an online forum called cruise critic most cruiselines will host a party for the members at the beginning of the cruise with snacks. Maybe Disney would do the same for the Disboards group. Maybe someone in the Platinum Castaway club could ask.

These are the big boys I will post the little dogs soon :woohoo:

dogs are gorgeous, one of the vets beside us have a english setter and she is gormless but adorable.
Even when we had the pc and ta cruise disney were not so helpful at all with helping us arrange stuff like this.
Next week when I am at work and hopefully NOT as busy as last week I will do some research, if the kids are coming would 3.30 be any good, that I beleive would be before the drill and sail away party. at least if we meet then we can make arrangemments to meet up again later or something, after the 2 dinners it might be too late for the kids.(as in they will be long gone rather than in bed or anything daft!)

:dance3::dance3::dance3:

I cant wait to try the aquaduct.

I hope we can dock at cc, this year in january , we tried lots but gave up.

Kid Accessible it should be, 3:30 would be good, will put on thinking cap, there is an Cove Cafe location in the Atrium, sorry can't remember the deck research,we are out for a short camping trip, our pups like camping.

3:30 sounds good...just need a place to meet.:dance3:

Later would be horrible since we don't want to miss our dining and shows...unless we went really late! But I need to work on my trip report before I go to bed every night. :surfweb:

Xiphoid76 comes from the bone over the heart (my favorite bone) and the Philly 76ers - my favorite basketball team :) So basically I love the 76ers - I know, geeky :) But that's me!

I bet that was a "process" coming up with xiphoid :goodvibes:lmao:, please forgive me that was bad, but having taught several CPR classes I could not resist.
