DISNEY DREAM 5-nights May 29th, 2011

I cannot wait for the cruise!! More snow Friday!! :scared1:I can't stand it anymore! Plus we have no place left to put it!

thanks for letting me vent! Love seeing the Friday countdown!:cool1:

Just out of curiosity I searched for our cruise on DCL and it was unavailable. I'm assuming this means it is full.

I'm getting excited!! I saw the "you may book excursions in 53 days" and it seems so close now.

:scared1: Yes it's true- MORE FLIPPIN SNOW!!!!!! :scared1:

I envy all of you that live in "no snow" zones (while I do understand that you've all had unnaturally cold / snowy days as well - this is REDICULOUS!!)

When I went to bed last night it was predicted 7-10" in my area- thankfully they downgraded it to 4-7. :worship: Another NO SCHOOL day....
Thankfully I'm off today so I can be home with them!

Man I really NEED this vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, I did the same thing. I think it's just maxed out on kids. When I put in just me & DH it came up with some rooms. I usually cruise at off times, I hope with this bigger ship I don't spend my whole vacation waiting in line....

more Fridays until we are "The First to Dream it Twice".

I am with you, more snow for us but only a few inches t his time. More heading our way on Tuesday.:confused3

I searched after I saw your post and the cruise did't show up for me either, and we are only 2. My guess is they were moving around all the GTY's to open up some space. It's available on the site now, at least for 2 people.

That makes sense. Hopefully, even if the ship is full it won't really affect anyone.

I am actually considering staying on the ship for one of the CC days. Get a chance to explore and enjoy the ship without the crowds. Easy for us with no kids to skip CC. This cruise for us is more about the ship than the ports. Will definitely do the first CC day as long as we can dock. I too have been a little worried about the crowds, especially since it looks like they didn't increase the pool size or the queue lines for some of the pool restaurants. I heard about long lines on some of the first cruises and the ship wasn't even full.

At least we will start to see more posts and feedback at the end of the month after the first REAL cruise.

that's what I heard today- a bigger storm on Tuesday- I have no idea where we are going to put the snow!?!:confused3

But I must share today when I got home from work, DH was already shoveling the driveway. I parked the car and went to help and he said " Just think about this cold and snow when we're sitting on the beach at Castaway Cay" !

I just loved it! Then I told him I was ready to book a cruise next week to get away from the snow! :lmao: His comment made my night!

thanks! Love the 18 Fridays to go! I better get back to working on my FE's!

:cool1:Hi Randy and Kathy here. We are so excited to be going on the dream! Our first Disney cruise was last year on the wonder double dip. Going again with my daughter and her husband. (heatherlynn444)
I think we are the oldest of the group, let's just say we have had a lot of birthdays, (55 of them, ha) We are empty nesters. I love watching the kids on the cruise. No grandchildren yet. Can't wait to meet everyone!

I am excited to me everyone as well.:cool1: I would still like to know if I can link my dining with another party of 1 or 3...I am a party of 1 so if anyone can help me with that,TIA :worship:

The cruise availability changes with the size and ages of the party's. If the kid's area is full of certain ages, they will show no availability if those ages are listed. So we may not be completely full.

Welcome aboard!! Glad to hear there's someone else who likes watching the kids--one of my favorite pastimes is hanging over the railing on deck 4 overlooking the Atrium. I get such a charge out of watching the kids meeting the characters. Got the grandma wanna-be bug real bad!! :goodvibes

Snow missed us again :sad2: You'd think I'd had enough after the 30" we got last Feb, but it just isn't winter to me without a few good heavy snowfalls. We've had 2 dustings that barely lasted a day and one ice day and that's all. :confused3

I cannot believe it is only 18 more Fridays!!! Better get on that diet!!:rolleyes1

Kathy, if that is you in the picture you look no where near 65!

I think we might try the catamaran & snorkle in Nasauu. I have no real interest in Nasauu, just doing this itenerary for the longest days & 2 CC's. But I really want to take the kids snorkeling. I've been researching over on cruise critic. Anyone looking at doing this or has anyone done it & have any feedback?

We went snorkeling in St. Thomas last year & it was awesome! However DH & I did that cruise without the kiddos (yes, we did the Magic without them-they've been before ) so we want them to have that fun this year.

I've started working on FE ideas but no the actual FE so after cleaning house today, may work on it.

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

When I priced the cruise a few nights ago it was for 2 adults only, no availability. But, Philatiger was right. When I tried the next day there were some rooms. I think they were just shuffling things around when I first tried.

:welcome: I have added you to the roll call.

Yep Beth- Celery sticks, carrots & water so that we can have fun gaining it all back on the cruise :thumbsup2

Actually, I don't think I've gained too much on my previous cruises from all the walking I do. Usually try to take the stairst some & I guess with a big new ship to expolore that means I'll be walking more...... which means I can eat more :goodvibes

If you are saying that you and your DH are both 55, then my DH & I both have you beat. I will be 57 at sailing & he will be a bit older. He hates when I give away his age, so I won't. We have a DD 37 & a DS 23. She is married with no kids (doesn't want any. She is a campus cop & full time student & her DH is a city cop.) & DS isn't married.

We enjoy watching the kids, too, but enjoy Disney cause we can act like kids, too. We both love the character meets and getting our pictures taken with them. We also like the fact that they have adult only areas when we need to get away from kids, too. After all it is vacation.
