We are fortunate to have a vacation home there in Davenport. Where are you staying and when are you coming in?

You are lucky to have a vacation home so close to WDW.

We will be arriving late on 12/18 and staying at the MCO Hyatt. Then we will be at BLT 12/19 until the cruise.

Yep, we got our documents yesterday also! It makes it so much more real...I'm getting giddy with excitement. They came via regular mail for us. I do like the new look of the document booklet. I've got ours all rubberbanded to our passports so I hopefully won't forget either of them. Better get my checklist out. I'm gonna try to pack light. When we went to Florida in July, all 4 of us was able to get everything we needed into 1 carry on apiece. Hopefully we can do that this time but we will need 1 extra bag for dress up and 1 bag for FE gifts .

Got my docs too The panic is now starting to set in...what to bring?? Clothes for warm weather, cooler weather, coats, sweatshirts, dinning clothes, pirate stuff, FE stuff ???... THANK YOU ADNIL for giving us some of your baggage allowance! I'll be pulling out the suitcases this weekend. I don't want to bring too much but don't want to forget the 'necessities'. I better get to reading everyone's tips.

It was mentioned earlier. I'd certainly like to have a meet & greet. I'm not familiar with the Dream and don't know the best spot and time.

You will over pack for sure Keep it to the necessities and you will be alright. Just remember, you are not going to the jungle along the Nile. You will have access to just about anything you will truly "need"! You can do it!!!

I will definitely pack a dressy outfit for us for NYE. Oh yeah and a pair of shoes.

If the weather is chilly, I will pack long johns and hoodies with down vests to wear over the hoodie. I don't normally wear hats but I will not hesitate to buy one if needed.

Jeans about 3 pair. I can recycle them and just change the shirts. I am looking for some clothing bags so I can flatten them out to make room. So I think that way I can put our things in the large suitcase and use the carryon for gifts and such.

Flying Delta so I have to pay the $25 bag fee which sucks but thats a small price to pay to get to Disney for Christmas.

Like you, I'm flying Delta...but my sister is flying southwest and with her family they get 8 bags plus carry-ons - she is letting me use some of their allowance...BUT, I have to have those bags packed and to her on Dec. 10th since she flies out a few days later. I don't fly out until Dec. 27th on a red eye. I'm more concerned about the weather and having proper clothing for my daughter -not so much on the ship, but for our 4 days in the parks after. I'm just about done with my FE's gifts and they look like they will take up about a third of my large suitcase. Ahhh - I'm sure it will all work out

I've been updating the FE list. I am waiting on room assignments for: Laniesmom33; Pengwend; and Yokohama55. Once we have those, the list will be finalized unless we have some last minute joiners. The cut off is not until December 1 so please feel free to let me know if you'd like to join.

33 Days to go!

Hope that all who celebrate Thanksgiving were surrounded by family and friends. We were lucky enough to have 2 days of giving thanks. We had a lot of fun last night sitting around the table, talking until past 11:00 about the Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line. Goofy's Gal was here along with several of the people who are doing the April 1, 2012 Disney Wonder to the Mexican Riviera. Just got me so excited for our upcoming trip!

Also hope everyone survived Black Friday. I don't go out but one of my daughter's did. She stayed up all night and was calling to be picked up @ 6:30 a.m. She says never again.

A few of our neighbobrs on the street have put up their Christmas decorations. I'm toying with the idea of putting up lights on a timer so it looks more normal here. We usually deck the halls around here and this year are looking forward to being on Deck and in the Halls. I'll certainly appreciate the decorations throughout our travels in December. While we have cruised in December before (our first cruise 12/08 which got us hooked) I have not been on board for Christmas or New Years.

We added a 4 night to Cozumel out of Tampa on the Carnival Paradise for Christmas Day, this one worked best with our plans and timing. We will be in Cozumel Christmas Eve and Christmas Day is a sea day. I'm wondering what we will see there. It'll be fun.

Anyway, again the FE list has been updated. I'm only waiting to hear if anyone else would like to join us in the FE exchange and I need the cabin number for Pengwend. So we should be able to finalize it next Thursday.

Hope Thanksgiving was well. I went to my church and fed the community and then went to Moms for Dinner. Yesterday I put up the Christmas tree. My daughter and her family will be apartment sitting while me and her brother are gone. Today I took some seniors from my church to a play. Tomorrow is church all day.

I am starting to put a mental packing list together. I still have decorations to put up in my lobby and the floor I live on. I have to finish FE shopping and I decided to use carryon bags instead of a large suitcase.

So much to do.

Drove in from WDW yesterday afternoon and our cruise documents were in the stack of held mail delivered today!!!!
Got the Christmas tree today and the outside decorations done (this is the earliest we have ever done this because it is all coming down before we leave for the cruise). I now have to find something to wear for NYE!!!

My DD (18) and I, did 'Black Friday' at Target. It was her first experience. We arrived at a few minutes before midnight, but we didn't get into the store for another 30 minutes. They made EVERYONE wait in a line outside. At midnight, they only let a small group of people into the store. Then waited for those people to clear the entrance area before they allowed more people in. Once inside everything was well organized. No shoving or fighting.

Welcome! It sounds like a great group. You've been on some amazing cruises!

First day Meet up- I would love to participate, since we aren't doing FEs.

Packing- We are definitely not ready to pack yet, but we plan on bringing some minimal things for the day- at least 2 bathing suits, so one has time to dry and some shorts and t shirts, things like that. DH will bring a suit, may rent a tux since we are doing Remy- not sure. I will bring a few dresses and shoes for evening.

Must have been "THE" day for setting up Christmas trees..I set mine up too . Where are you from in Northern California? I'm in Lodi - about 35 miles south of Sacramento - we also did Target at midnight and found it to be very well organized - crowded, but organized. All went well for us

We sail this month!!!! I've been waiting to be able to say that. Can't wait!

Today is the last day for signing up for the FE. This list is just about finalized.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to time and place to meet and greet just prior to the life boat drill? A quick hello and a group photo?

Its December. Its December. Today is my Mom's bday and 3 weeks from today I will getting ready to fly down for the Disney Holiday Extravaganza. My son is counting down. All night last night he was Mom change the calendar, change the calendar.
