Hi, Linda!
My daughter is 9 now too. Her birthday is 12/25/00. Yep, Christmas Day!So, the girls will be the exact same age!
My son's bday is 12/7/99, so he'll turn 12 that same month.
I'm gonna keep stalking to see if I can grab an 11C GTY, but for now I'll take the 11B GTY. Hoping someone joins us on the cruise, but if not, we'll still have a blast. We stayed in a Cat 11 on the Wonder for a 3 day in 2009, just the 3 of us. In 2010, we were upgraded from Cat 12 to a Cat 9 when my mom sailed with us on a 4 day Wonder.
Excited to start planning! We've previously done the Sea Lion Encounter and Atlantis Aquaventure on the Nassau stops. Not sure what we'll do this time. We're thinking of trying parasailing at CC. I need to re-read, but seems like you might have to be 90 pounds to do it. I imagine neither of mine will be 90 yet since they are currently about 65 and 60 pounds each, but maybe that was minimum to ride alone?
What were you guys thinking about doing?
Welcome
My DD is also a December baby..hers is the 15th.She will turn 12 right before the cruise. My due date with her was Dec 25.
Sounds like our girls will have instant friends!
When we went to Nassau, we did the walking tour, google search frommers walking tour Nassau. That was very interesting for us and it's free. At the top of the Queens staircase, there was an outdoor market too. We've done the double jet skis at CC. That was fun. We went to an outer island and the water is so clear you could see everything beneath you. We've also rented bikes. That was fun also. We biked out to the observation tower, the airstrip, and a path behind Serenity Bay. We go next month and will probably not rent anything but snorkels and do some of the planned activities on the island like the hermit crab races and play a bit more on the beach. Right now, that sounds like heaven!
