Disney done differently, (BOG dining updates pages 202 and 203)

Today starts SWW!!! We only have a couple hours there today, but I hope to see a show and check out the merchandise tent and window shop. Hopefully they will have characters there!

He was entertainment to all the little kids behind us. The adults in front of us didn't have kids and they didn't seem too amused.

My husband would have gotten a kick out of Anakin. He loves kids (we have 9 grandkids) and spends a lot of time at WDW just watching the kids having fun (I wish we could afford to have our own grandkids there with us). Sometimes I have to tell him that he is watching too much and that it might creep some parents out. LOL

:dance3: happy you decided to go! have a great time!!!

Goofy took us before he went to work. Grumpy who wanted to go really bad hs a scrimage game this afternoon. I don't dare take Anakin by myself, he is getting too big for me to handle any meltdowns alone. Thankfully everything went great! Tomorrow we'll try it again with Grumpy. He really wants to see the Stars of the Saga and Visit to the Maul. Then Sunday we'll go to see the Hyperspace Hoopla.

My dad is the same way. Though he has a hard time just watching. He wants to play too. Before his stroke he was Anakin's favorite playmate! One of my friends visited with her toddler granddaughter and they sent me video of the two of them playing the keyboards.

That would be so fun to take all your grandkids! 9 would really do some damage to the pocket, though you can stay offsite or rent DVC points affordably. It's the park tickets that would get so pricey.

Oh I hope you all have a ball today!!

We had an awesome time!! Going to have to interrupt my TR to post today's awesomeness!!

Oh that's great! I can hardly wait to hear all about it!

Got side tracked. There was a thunderstorm and one REALLY loud thunder. Anakin got spooked and ran up the couch. Got his leg stuck between the wall and the couch. I got his leg unstuck, then I managed to fall off the couch hurting my ankle on the way down.

I iced it all this time. I can't put full weight on it now, but Grumpy came home from his scrimage and he doesn't think it's broken. He thinks it's sprained.

Both kids said they hope it's better by tomorrow when we go to SWW. Anakin prayed for me though.

Oh no! I hope it feels better.

oh no....keep it iced and elevated...hope your better soon!

Star Wars Weekends have begun!!

After leaving the house later than planned and getting hung up in a traffic snafu we arrived at DHS! Our first stop was to Darth Mall. We got in queue for the shopping only to have a cm tell us that the wait to get into the store was 1 to 2 hours!!?? We didn't stay.

Our second stop was to Sounds Dangerous to get a SWW map and get the guys SWW t-shirts.

We saw the Carbon Freeze Me sample. It looks very cool, but for $99.99 plus shipping we passed on it.

We walked over to the Streets of America and got in line for the M&G by the Premier Theater. At the time Commander Cody was there, almost immediately it changed to Captain Rex instead, but by the time it was our turn, it was back to Commander Cody.

The wait was hot and in the sun, no shade at all. I came prepared with a cooler bag packed with frozen water. Anakin ate a couple tiny cubes of cheese I had cut up early this morning, a strawberry, and drank a juice box that I had packed. We put one frozen water behind his neck and he had another frozen water at his legs. He was very patient waiting.

When Comander Cody came back, he interacted a little with the kids in line. They thought it was great!

Usually we don't use an autograph book, but today he brought one. He remembered to give it to get signed, but forgot about taking it back. Commander Cody ended up giving it to the photopass person who handed it to me. He tried to pose for a picture, but when he moved, he ended up wacking Anakin in the head with his arm. Anakin was totally in his own little world, he didn't seem to even notice the bump. He was too busy twirling his light saber. You could see he was imagining he was in a scene from Clone Wars. I did get one good picture, and looking at the Photopass site, she captured some great pics!

We really wanted to see the 11am show Behind the Force at the Pemiere Theater. That's the refubished, air conditioned, old Hunch Back theater. Oh, how I miss that show. That and Doug Live were my two MGM Studios favorites back in the day!!

We got in line for the show. The line wasn't nearly as big as we had expected. I guess every one else was in line at Darth Mall or staking a spot for the parade.

We filed into the theater. There was a spot all the way up front for wheelchair and one seat all by itself. There was another empty seat right behing it. I parked him next to the empty seat, I sat in the empty seat, and Goofy sat behind us. Anakin kept turning his light saber on. I knew he'd continue through the show, so I handed them back to Goofy so they'd be silent. BIG mistake. Everytime Goofy moved those blasted light sabers would make swishing light saber noises. I think Anakin woud have been quieter with them! Goofy was a huge distraction, and it took all I had not to laugh because of the irony!!

Behind the Force is a show about the making of Clone Wars the series.

My phone camera had problems with the lighting. This is Dee Bradley Baker, the voice of the clones and Ashley Eckstein the voice of Ahsoka Tano. Dee Bradley Baker is the voice of many other cartoon characters including Perry the Platapus

How to make Alien noises

All the children were asked to stand to make sounds.

After the show we had to head to the parking lot. The majority of the people heading out of the show turned right, so we turned left and went back by the backlot tour.

There were some guests dressed up. They were heading the same direction as us. When they came to the Fetts, they just popped in and quickly had their own little M&G. All the people waiting the 30 minutes to see the Fetts just kind of watched as this group went ahead of them all. Even the cm looked stunned, but didn't say anything. (I don't think they were a MAW group, they didn't have any buttons, didn't show anything, just walked right up to the character.)

Goofy declared quietly, "Looks like they discovered how to avoid the wait."

When we walked up the ramp near the little mermaid we saw C3PO at the top sticking his head out and waving. He ended up walking to the Great Movie ride.

There was no argument from Anakin. He was ready to go home, he loves his Star Wars, but he had enough for the day.

I bet it was fun! Was the line crazy long?

I remember standing in line for a Stitch Judo pin years ago back when we were avid traders.

No SWW today. All of us slept in late except for Goofy who went to work. I read that the parking lot is closed at DHS and they are parking people at Epcot. Hopefully tomorrow night we will find a spot to park for the Hoopla.

That was a cute shirt that you took the picture of.

Smart woman taking the frozen water bottles. You would think they would set up some sort of shade barrier and maybe those misters. They use those all over DCA but not in Disneyland. In Disneyland the trees have had so many years to grow they offer great shade and most rides have shade covered queues.

Sounds crazy busy today.I think I would be glad for having slept in. Hopefully tomorrow night it will have slowed down.

There's another event shirt, but it's black. That hot FL sun beating down on a black shirt is brutal, so I went with gray.

Most of the character lines are in the direct sun. Darth Vader's is shaded, which is good because his line is usually an hour long. Luke, Leia, C3PO and R2D2 are in the the airconditioned Darth Mall tent, but with yesterday's lines, they were not there. I read they came out at 9:30 this am for M&G! Hope to catch them tomorrow night if we can find a parking space right away. If not, it will just be the Hoopla, unless I drop the guys off and am searching for parking at Epcot.

We got to go Friday night for a couple hours and Sunday night for a couple hours. Next weekend will be our BIG SWW, along with a zillion other people for Memorial Day weekend.

He sure does love Star Wars. He can't wait for Celebration VI in August!

He doesn't know she's coming. But he did something really sweet for her yesterday. I couldn't understand his perseverance. It was so stinking hot outside and he insisted we had to stay at the MK until he had a certain something with the princesses done for Lisa, but he didn't tell us it was for her until we were heading home.

So he had his lab appointment at 6:30am. Poor guy was scared and cried even though it's the same routine blood work, just a few extra vials than normal this time. His princess quest ended at 4:30pm. He slept the whole way home, and at the grocery store which we had to stop at on the way home.

We sweat jellybeans on Sunday night too. We accomplished two things. Shopping at Darth Mall and watching the hyperspace hoopla. While Grumpy and Goofy took our purchases out to the car, Anakin and I went hunting for photopass photographers. He got two fun magic shots!! One with Darth Vader and one with the balloons.
