Saturday night we headed back to Pop for supper. Before we left, I told Anakin to put his shoes on that we are going to Pop Century. He got so excited! He thought this was the real deal! He was all ready to go on vacation. Every day he asks how many more days. So while he was a bit disappointed that this wasn't our real vacation, he was happy to go there to eat. We love Tables in Wonderland!!
When we arrived at Everything Pop, Anakin noticed new PoC pins for the new movie. He had some birthday money left on a Disney gift card, so he purchased the pins.
Goofy got the tv dinner, fried chicken. I just got hummus and bagel chips. I tasted Goofy's green beans and they were so good!! Goofy ended up going up there and getting me a side of green beans! Anakin got his usual kid's pizza, and our friends got their usual of a Greek Salad. (Pictures in previous posts).
Nearby, there was a CM cleaning tables and sweeping the floor who was wearing a lanyard. Her name is Taylor. She is great! Anakin and Taylor quickly became pin trading buddies. She really made his pin trading magical! She brought other CM over to our table to trade with him. They were all so great with him!
At 6pm, there was the call for the Hustle. We have been there many times at 6pm in the past, but Anakin never had the inclination to check it out. This time, since he met several CM he wanted to see them dance. We went over to check it out and before you know it, he was joining in the fun!
He tried so hard to catch on to the dance, but he just couldn't. It was going to fast for him. He kept bumping into them, and he gave up trying. He felt a bit defeated and said he had to go back to his seat, and he would need to learn the Hustle before we stay here. He sat back down. When the music stopped. Taylor came back to him and said he forgot something. She gave him a badge for doing the dance!
Anakin's brain was working overtime. He thought that maybe since the new PoC were out, maybe the POC Legos were out too. He was right. He used the last of his birthday money to buy a small POC
lego. He went back to the table to put it together while the rest of us finished eating.
Taylor stopped back to check out his Lego and they began talking legos. She is a lego fan too. Which gave them even more to talk about! They had some of the same sets! We said our goodbyes to Taylor and said we'd look for her when we come for our vacation!
We headed to Downtown Disney to do some shopping for my niece and nephew. My mom was looking for Winnie the Pooh throws to give them. We found them, and sticker shock got us. At Christmas time, these were 20-something. Now they were $34.95! They are so soft!
Downtown Disney was packed! We circled the parking lot a long time before we found a spot open up. We found a spot long before our friends did. In fact, they drove by us as we were walking. We met up with them at the squirting Stitch. By the time they got to us, Anakin was pretty wet! He was loving getting soaked. But once we left that area, he didn't like the wet feeling anymore.
I'm so glad we didn't bring the stroller to DTD. It was very congested with people. Anakin went into all the stores pin trading. This has made shopping for me possible again!! Yay!!
The other day when we were at Epcot, Goofy bought me a giclee of carousel horses for Mother's Day at the Art of
Disney Store. I was curious to see if they had any left at the Art of Disney Store at DTD. They didn't have any giclees left. Goofy bought me the last one they had at Epcot. There was the original picture there. It had a gold frame, my frame is brownish. Here is a pic of the original. If you look closely, Tink is in the harness of the horse. I love my Mother's Day present!! Now I need to find a good place to display it!
