Anakin is ready for SSW too. With his birthday money he bought a Boba Fet gun. He is so excited for SSW. He has told everyone he sees that he can't wait until SSW!!

My countdown is down to the teens now!!!

Planning and packing is beginning to take form for our mini-vacation at Pop and SSW. I really wish Disney would release the SSW times guide well before SSW starts!

Usually I am fly by the seat of my pants and don't do much if any planning. But with Anakin I need to think ahead, especially because of the heat.

Anakin's cooling vest arrived yesterday. Nancy at SilverEagle has been wonderful through the whole order process and getting the vest to us. She said that under 85% humidity we should be able to get 2 hours out of the vest, but much less time if the humidity is over 85%.

We are going to take SSW in small doses, just a few hours each day, totally based upon his tolerance to the heat. The first SSW is before our Pop Stay. I booked 1 ADR for each day. I tried to get Sci-Fi for each one, but it wasn't available early on many of the days. I was looking for lunch resies, because I know we won't stay all day. So I booked 50's Prime Time when I couldn't get Sci-Fi.

Grumpy will only be able to attend the first weekend, before he goes away for the summer. He is huge Star Wars fan himself. He has gone to SSWs for as long as I can remember the studios having them. Here are a few from 2004, I think?

Right there with you on the SWW planning. I wish they would give us something early so we would be able to plan. I really think we will be doing SWW in small doses as well. So glad you got your cooling vest, I hope it helps! Also, loved the Coral Reef, we went there for Luke's 5th birthday and he just loved it. His favorite food is crab legs and he really liked theirs.

We were at 50's PTC years and years ago. I'm thinking it is either going to be hit or miss with Anakin. He was very excited to go there until Grumpy said your server makes you eat all your food. Now he is stressing about going. I told him it's all in fun and it's joking.

Goofy is looking forward to try the PB&J milkshake there!! The first SSW is our ADR for 50's. I hear the smores is a great dessert but big enough to share. I can't eat chocolate, so that's out for me.

The gun is loud!!! He thinks it is so cool. Funny how that noise doesn't bother him but it drives me insane, LOL!!!

I've never seen a Times Guide, even at the resorts before midnight the night of the event. However, since you are arriving and going to the 2nd weekend, you should have already seen the previous weekend's Times Guide before you go.

I plan to go Friday 20th to check out how it's set up, where things are, and look at the SSW merchandise. Let Anakin do a few things. And have Grumpy check out what he wants to do.

Crab legs!!! Anakin loves crab legs. They weren't on the lunch menu though.

Are you eating lunch or dinner there? We ate there for lunch. When we were finished eating, the waiting area was packed and overflow was out the door. So we were happy we had an 11:45 ADR!

I've never eaten at Via Napoli, so I can't compare. Dh's mahi mahi wasn't on the dinner menu in the past, not sure if it's on the new menu or not. If you switch to Coral Reef ask for either Iliana or Leah.

A suggestion if Anakin might want some prep before arriving at 50s PTC is to watch videos on YouTube. DH was adamant on NOT going to 50s PTC because of having to eat all your veggies and elbows off the table. I watched tons of videos to see how things worked, and was able to determine that he'd be okay with it. I even called and told him about the videos and he felt better about it. You could also let the hostess and server know about Anakin's anxiety as well.

I'm hoping that DH gets the PB&J shake. I want to try it, but I'm not much on PB&J. I think it would be too much for me to have one to myself. So I'll stick with chocolate or something. I haven't checked much on the menu, as I wanted to go strictly for the theme. I do know a couple of entrees (had to make sure there was something I'd eat at least), and I will have a hard time narrowing down what I choose. I didn't check out the desserts though!

I looked at some of the youtube videos. Now I am a bit apprehensive! I might need to bring ear plugs for him, there is alot of backround noise on them!

I am definately going to have to contact a friend of mine who's daughter recently did the college program at Disney. She worked there at 50's PTC.

My chocolate issues are a really huge intolerance. It use to be only certain brands, but now it is all chocolate. It gives me a hemiplegic migraine. Half of my body will go numb, including my tongue and gums. It's nasty.

Thanks! I have loved every stage of parenting Grumpy until now! All of the sudden, now that Grumpy has his driver's license, my husband and I don't know anything. But don't worry, Grumpy seems to have all the answers. I am trying very hard not to say I told you so as he finds out Goofy and I were right. The other day I sang his name to the Rapunzel knows best song, lol. When he found out I was right, I chimed in with the Mother knows best song from Rapuzel. Guess that made me the villian,

I use to be a huge fan of chocolate. I grew up near Hershey, PA. It was always fun to head over to Chocolate World, ride the ride, then get the free chocolate. It use to be only Nestle chocolate caused the reaction, so I was fine there. Then came Cadburry chocolate, it was so hard to not eat Cadburry Cream eggs at Easter time. Oh how I use to love them!! About 10 years ago, it became all dark or milk chocolate, but I could still eat white chocolate. Now I can't eat white chocolate either. But I no longer crave chocolate anymore. So I guess that's helpful!

I would have a really hard time going gluten free or sugar free! I'm glad you are careful when you have your occasional chocolate.

Thanks!! You can't see in the picture too well, but when he was born his hair looked like it was highlighted. There were blonde streaks in his brown hair. The first night, my nurse was a girl from church and she asked if I minded if the other nurses came in my room to look at his hair. So one by one they stopped by and gawked at his perfectly highlighted hair. One took a picture of his hair to show her hair stylist what she wanted, lol.
