I think it depends on where you are located. Our entire area is sold out until the new ones are issued. The CM at one of the DS said they should be out in early spring.
Disney Dollars are at our Disney Store too. We just started giving our DS some for special occasions (Valentine's Day) ect. Even his aunt is in on the fun. He is going to have more money to spend than us!!
He gets so excited when he receives them. I highly recommend. They are fun!!
I've been encouraging our dd to help with chores around the house for change for her piggy bank. We told her we would cash in all of her change for disney dollars before our trip. It has been a great way to motivate her.
I checked and they do offer disney dollars at the stores.
Our Disney store still has disney dollars, this week they only had singles left, the mgr. said they had more in the back but weren't ok'd to release them for sale yet. they are a great way to save for your trip and not spend them before you go! we had no problem spending them and didn't bring any back home!
The advantage is that they are a way to save towards your vacation. We are horrible savers so DDs were a great way to ensure we were saving. Every chance we had to stop at a Disney store we would buy more of them. They make great gifts for the kids too. That way they can start looking forward to the vacation like the rest of us! Have fun and welcome to the DIS.
Wow, the Tooth Fairy brought Disney Dollars to my daughter for loosing her first tooth. Ryleigh just loved it that she got Disney Dollars to spend on our cruise, how did the Tooth Fairy know?
I received my DD's in the mail the other day as I give my grandchildren DD's for report cards, they have been saving for over a year and since we now don't have a Disney store close to us anymore, so I sent for some in the mail. didn't take very long only draw back you have to pay extra $3.00 for shipping..
