Disney Dollars

I know last year they were talking about phasing them out but have they? Or have they done new designs for the disney dollars?

You can still get Disney Dollars, but I think that they have stopped designing new ones. I just ordered some from WDW ticketing to give to the kids for an upcoming trip. The Disney Dollars that I got were all printed in 2009 or earlier. That's probably the last year that they printed new ones. They are trying to phase them out and get everyone to buy gift cards instead.

I've been wanting to get some so the tooth fairy can leave them for my DD... any tips on how I can get a hold of some (I'm in Wisconsin) would be appreciated.

From WDW ticketing? link? I am not sure if that is where I saw them.
I gogled them and found you can get the '08/'09 dollars. I want to get some to put in easter eggs for our egg hunt since its 3 weeks before vacation,

Disney Dollars can be purchased by calling Walt Disney World Ticketing at (407)566-4985. They come in $1, $5, $10 denominations. The Cast Member who assists you will ask what denominations and amounts you are interested in purchasing, and they'll ship them to you via express mail

You can only get them thru WDW - either thru ticketing or when you are there. They do not sell them at the Disney Stores any more just the gift cards. I bought the gift cards for my sons but I think the money is much cutier & versatile.

I understand that gift cards are much more convenient but I hope they don't completely phase out the Disney Dollars.

The Dollars are much more fun and you can exchange them back for real currency.

That being said, I'm glad they make a wide variety of gift cards instead of just a few standard images.
