disney dollars usable on DCL?

Hi!
Can someone tell me if Disney Dollars can be used on the ship?
Also, where can I purchase them? My Mother would like to give these to the grandkids for Christmas to be used on our May cruise.

Yes you can use them on the ship, you will need to go to guest services and you can prepay your ship board account with them as all purchases you make while on board will be with your KTTW card....You should be able to get them at any Disney store.....Andy

What about the Disney Visa ones? Is it the same? Also does anyone know if there are certain rules or regulations regarding the Disney Visa ones? I have quite a few thanks to Community College and I have a 0 balance on the card at this moment! Saving up for my cruise now that I am partly done with school. I graduated with my Associates Degree this month!
