Disney Dollars on onboard account...?

If I would put Disney Dollars on my onboard account ...and at the end of the cruise, there is credit left....
will they refund what is due me back in the Disney Dollars or in cash??

this is what I was told when I asked the say questions...*alumni correct me if I am wrong*
but they cut you a check if you have credit left...but I dont know at what point in time they do that...

We put almost $1300.00 down in DD's we had a credit balance left of $55.00 or so which they refunded in cash.

you go to a Disney store and purchase them. They cost the same as their face value. (ie: Ten disney dollars cost ten US dollars) I use them as a way to save for the cruise for shipboard expendatures, it is easier for me to save DD's than cash as I will always end up spending cash

DVC members also get Disney Dollars for referring new members for DVC.

1st referral-$200 Disney Dollars
2nd referral-$350 Disney Dollars
3rd referral-$500 Disney Dollars.

We just recieved $350 Disney dollars from DVC that we will be using on our cruise in Feb.

So we can put them down (toward onboard account) right away? I like that idea better than going to guest services everyday to pay balance.

Well I think we put down like $800.00 the first day (we knew our dolphin excursion was going to run almost 600.00) and then I think Jay put down three hundred another day and then the balance on like thursday. We had a message on our phone to go to guest services before leaving on Sat. to collect our refund.

We used cash and DD used Disney Dollars for her arcade cards...
we had a $50.00 balance on Friday night at midnight and they gave me the money in cash......You can also put money on your account by sending DCL money in increments...I might do that this time....
