Disney Divas Getaway!!

TOPS is a weight control group. Between WW and TOPS I have dropped nearly 130 pounds. Still fat though. At least Barnum and Bailey no longer send me job applications though. :rotfl:
I have heard of it...but don't remember what the acronym stands for?
Thats wonderful you've been able to loose so much...how long did it take? My DH dropped 100 pounds four years ago! I'd be happy to loose @20# (I'm 5'8" @175#) but no matter if I diet and/or exercise the scale won't budge! :headache:

Congrats to your husband! I wish I had been that smart when I was younger. I have been working on losing weight for about three years. It is very hard for me to lose weight. I have lost each and every pounds several times before it got lost and did not find its way back home.

You weigh less than my target weight. If you can eat what you want and not gain any weight I would declare you to be PERFECT! Beauty comes in all sizes and not everyone is meant or should be a size zero.

He got scared when the scale hit 300# :scared:
I joke with him that I loved him when he was poor and fat and now he is rich and thin! :lovestruc

Us Divas come in all shapes and sizes...I am the biggest (and tallest...Diva Missy is only 4'9".)

I've lost 27 pounds since March on Nutrisystem. I'm not doing it full time any more, but I'm basically "working the program" and being very careful about what I eat. It's the first diet I've ever been on, and it has worked well for me. The hardest thing I had to adjust to was eating 5-6 times a day rather than once or twice.

Jamstew, I have no problem eating several times a day it is the amount that hurts. :lmao: Congratulations on the weight loss. I know how hard it is.

Diva K, if I had known when I hit 300 it might have stopped me but I am not sure. I remember when I topped 200. :scared1: So, you literally have loved your husband through 'thick and thin'. Every woman complains about their weight or something. Men, no matter what they look like, think they are perfect always. You just be the best YOU you want to be and leave everything else alone. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff. There is far too much big stuff to worry about. :dance3:

You gonna put Diva Missy on your lanyard?

I have better hair!
Nope, I do. Mine is naturally curly and does not require anything except for frequent haircuts. I am low maintenance. Hope I can clean out under my nails before I come though as they are nasty. I am a workhorse and not ornamental. :laundy:

::yes:: Yup, been together since freshman year of college (1990, married in 1996.) :love2:

The other Divas are gonna love that! :lmao:

So do I (naturally curly, strawberry blond.) We might have to have a hair off while we're there! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Good for you! :thumbsup2
DH did Atkins. We have talked about NutriSystem...if I may ask, how expensive is it?

It's about $10 a day for the Nutrisystem foods, which are just your entrees. You still have to add your perishables (dairy, fruit, veggies). It wasn't a big deal for me since I don't cook and was spending way more than that eating out all the time. I stayed on it 100% for the first two months and then started ordering every 6 weeks or so. You can figure out a lot of things you can fix for yourself without the NS food--like I'll have a yogurt parfait with fat free yogurt, blueberries and 1/4 c. of granola for breakfast. I'm also not going to tell you that the food is really good--it isn't, but most of it is at least mediocre :lmao: For women with less than 100 pounds to lose, it's a very well balanced 1100-1300 calories a day, spread over 3 meals, 2 snacks and a dessert. There's also plenty of chocolate, which made it a lot easier for me to deal with  I'll be happy to answer any questions you have.

:thanks:
DH has asked me to look into it whenever he sees a commercial on TV...he still struggles but now whenever he notices the pounds creeping back on he just cuts out carbs and he looses like that (snap!)

I do the low carb thing. I love meat so it is a no brainer AND I have found low carb chocolate bars so I'm in heaven!

I can go out to eat without fear too as I tend to eat at buffets where I can pick and choose.

I fully expect Diva Missy to come up and kick me in the shins, if she can reach that high. :rotfl:

Just kidding! Just kidding! I love short people as much as Randy Newman. AND he do. He are one.

Diva K, the only thing I have going for me is my hair so please do not compete. :dance3:

Told the other Divas (Becky, Mary & Sheryll) what you said about wearing Missy on a lanyard and Diva Becky AKA Birthday Diva said that might not be a bad idea, that way we wouldn't lose her!

Missy and I would get along just fine as we both are talkers. Lucy is used to me and probably would survive just fine. :lmao:

You DO know that you lucked out in the lottery of life in marrying your childhood boyfriend and having it turn out so well? He did not do too badly either. I just love happy endings, or middles. :wizard:

Dalton and I just did his homework. Hope we get an "A". The kid scares me, he thinks like me. He is young so there is hope. :teacher:

School here starts Monday :teacher:

I can get along with most anybody. Might be because I cannot hear. :lmao: The only thing I cannot abide is folks who insist that everyone agree with them. I like different. Heck, I are different.

Whether or not others can abide me is another question. :confused3

:rotfl2: So I get a VM while at work, fussing at someone who is old enough to know better than to argue with their boss - esp. b/c I was right!, telling me to check my e-mail it was a busy "diva" day. :grouphug: Much to my delight I see we are now planning to carry our smallest diva on a lanyard.:rotfl: Totally did not expect that one - totally needed it! I do have to say I may need more than a dole whip though to survive having her that close to my ear as I cannot claim to have trouble hearing and can only pretend to ignore any one person for a short period of time - better pack some extra Advil.

14 days and boy I cannot wait! Still working thru the butterflies in my belly as I will not be taking my laptop on this diva adventure so will basically not be available to do any work. I feel like the little engine ... I think I can ... I think I can .... Well, you get the picture.

Glad I have the divas to save me from myself!!!:worship:

Yes! SG, thank you so much for including us! :thanks: I know my fellow divas thank you too b/c from what I have found it will be tough to find GOOD coffee first thing in the morning so those frappaccinos on the go will have to get me by. :drinking1 Trust me, even my kids will agree, Sheryll without coffee is a very bad thing. Actually ... it was my 8 year old DD who first said that so that should give you a clue.

Thanks again - can't wait to meet ya'!
