Disney Divas Getaway!!

Diva Kristin, how was the Alaska cruise.
WONDERFUL! :cloud9:
Did you see any whales?
Only one whale, sea otters, seals and lots of bald eagles! :sail:
Would you recommend it?
YES! ::yes::
Would you do it again?
In a heartbeat! :lovestruc
Would like to go to Danali next time. Its a longer (@2weeks) trip because you cruise to Whittier and then take a train to Danali. Probably will have to wait until DH retires to do that one!

*Cruise review/trip report??? Do you just want the highlights or a full fledged, day by day, hour by hour, meal by meal?!?!? Any specific questions?

thunderbird1, I hate to disappoint you but I have never been to Austin, TX. I was just funning you because of my grandson's name. Another grandson is named Dalton. Dd could not figure out why she came up with that name. I reminded her that we stayed in Dalton, GA on our way down to DW. :rotfl: I have been to Dallas/Ft. Worth and Broaddus, TX, where my aunt used to live. Never made it all the way across the state though. Too big. Heck, I am so old that I remember when Texas was still the biggest state!

Diva Kristin, sounds like the Alaska cruise was wonderful. One tiny thing, I would not put off any trips you and your dh would like to do. I have seen far too many couples make plans for after retirement and things happen. Go now and then go again later when you have more time to spend. We traveled a lot through the years and we may well not be able to afford much traveling in the future or our health will not allow it so at least we did get to go most places and have the memories. :wizard:

We are already talking about our next cruise...alas not a Disney cruise...:sad2:
Would like to cruise Hawaii so we can visit each of the islands. Princess has a cruise of the British Isles we'd love to do! The problem is getting DH to take more than a week off of work at a time...thats why I said when he retires and also there are so many places we want to go, can't justify going back to Alaska anytime soon. What do we want to do with DS and what we want to do once he has left the nest/flown the coupe!

Hawaii was not a state then either.

Lord I did love those Lincoln/Douglas debates though. :lmao:

Whose bright idea was it to make all these t-shirts?!?!?!?!?!
Just finished an ironing session and less than pleased with the results...used a different brand of transfers....left residue, white paper flecks, etc when I pulled the transfer off...ugh, some of them really look like crap! I washed a couple of them, hoping that would help but doesn't look like it....thanks for letting me vent :headache:

What did you use?? and which do you recommend as the better one?

Hey... question for you... does white show as white on that?

I have used Wilton (yes, the cake decorating company) brand and like them the best. What I used today is called Royal Brites, one of the other Divas bought them...

Not sure what you mean....but I like to use clear transfers so the color of the shirt shows through...if you use a dark transfer you will see the white edge of the transfer contrast with the color of the shirt....hope that makes sense, if thats what you were even asking! :confused3

I was talking with a friend, and she wants to try and do a transfer and the item has white in the center (ghost) and dont want it to be the color of the shirt. She asked if I knew anything, and I dont...

Tell her to use a transfer for dark fabrics! :thumbsup2

I think they talked about orange hoodies :confused3

I'm certainly no expert and its hard to say without seeing the design...is the ghost is clear/just the outline of the ghost? Or is the ghost actually white in the design? If she uses a transfer for dark fabrics the ghost will be white...if she uses one for light/white fabrics and the ghost is just an outline, the ghost will be orange. Hope this makes sense! There maybe somebody over on the DISign board who can explain it better!

Diva Krisitn, I am so glad that I do not have any talent and know I do not have any talent.

I took my two shirts to the airbrush guy in the mall, who made my famous 'Slightly Goofy" shirt, and had him do mine. I have to pick them up next Tuesday. Well worth the $35 IMO.

If only everything else was so easy. I have dozens of c/d's to make before I leave and have been having computer problems. :scared1:

See you soon! Real soon!! Why?? Cause I like you!!!

Actually I used to be a Jr. Martha Stewart wannabe. I did the gourmet cooking bit, entertained to beat the band, did all my home renovations myself, was a mover and shaker in the PTO and all that. I can even draw. I used to. It is just that I have no energy anymore. Just plain wore out.

This next couple of weeks will be an extended treadmill test as I want to see how I feel with 8 hours of sleep and not having to do any work. If it works I may just see how long my credit cards will last. :lmao:

BTW, I just got the news that our TOPS IRD convention is going to be at Coronado Springs next year in July!!!!

You can do it all! :thumbsup2
I might have to join TOPS! :woohoo:

Diva K, I used to do it all. No more. No can do, no wanna do either. :rotfl:

TOPS is a weight control group. Between WW and TOPS I have dropped nearly 130 pounds. Still fat though. At least Barnum and Bailey no longer send me job applications though. :rotfl:

I bet you do it all too. That is what young wives and mothers do.
