Disney Divas Getaway!!

Did you get them through Disney??
The pale blue tank (pictured somewhere on this thread) we bought @The Disney Store, rhinestone Disney Diva bling (your avatar) from ebay, Diva Sheryll (AKA Firecracker 75) is making us Mickey tie dye shirts, the other designs (animal print Mickey heads for AK, Mickey head w/ tiara, Life is Good w/ Mickey ears) I got from the DISign board here and am ironing them on shirts!

I found it! and need to email the seller about other idea i have for the group going in October 2009 trip

I should get commision from all the business I've gotten her!

LOL! and there may be more with what I send if anyone from the group uses her (because then they would go back possibly)

Just a gentle reminder that I need a detailed 'grocery' list of what you want me to pick up for you.

BTW, I just love the "Life is Good' logo! Perfect!

When do you need it by? so I can let the other Divas know when to have their requests in....thanks again!
Life is Good! :thumbsup2

I leave on the 29th so it had better be before that or you will be trying to call me down there and with my hearing you might well end up with all sort of stuff you do not want. :lmao:

Kristineamb, here is something fun you can do. Drop by the pool one night and meet the woman who will be celebrating her SIXTIETH birthday by going ALONE, for the very first time in her life!!!:worship:

You will feel so much younger and that has to be worth the trip.:rotfl2:

Slightly Goofy/Linda

OMG -- I obviously haven't read this whole thread. I'm not celebrating my birthday, but I'm turning 63 in December. I went alone my first time at 61! You're definitely going to love it! (and yes, we can really make the 40-year-olds feel young)

Hey jamstew!
Where in Texas is Georgetown? We're in Schertz (north of San Antonio.)
Hope to see you next month!
:wave2:

I've seen you over on the Glow party thread, but finally made it over here. We'll miss you at the party, but will look for you around the parks. Too many coincidences not to--I turned 40 this year, too (and somehow survived!), and we may have an opportunity to move to TX (Austin) next year (for dh's job). We love the Pacific NW, but Austin seems to be calling to us for some strange reason. . . .

Have fun, and hope to see you there!

We've only been in Texas @3years and absolutely love it! DH, DS (10yo) & I all were all born in Pittsburgh, PA (Go Steelers!) and all of our is family back there...it was a big (ie hard) move but probably the best thing that we've ever done...we have met so many wonderful people since we've been here (including my fellow Divas!) Austin is right up the road @an hour...haven't spent much time there but hear its awfully nice! Just got back from your neck of the woods...spent three days in Seattle before our Alaska cruise...loved walking @Pikes Market (Beechers Mac & Cheese! :cloud9: ) The hardest thing will be getting used to the heat...but after awhile down here you'll get used to it and think 90 is chilly!
What are your dates? Where are you staying?

Small world--my SIL's family is from Pittsburgh (though we were ROBBED in the Superbowl, so I'm not sure I should even be talking to you :snooty::laughing:).

Also glad to hear that transplants can acclimate to the heat--I'm from Chicago originally and moved out here to escape the snow. The rain I don't mind so much, but I wouldn't miss it too much, either.

How was the Alaska cruise? We've been thinking we ought to do one before we leave, but I'm a big baby about cold and snow (hence, the escape from Chicago!). Now Caribbean cruises I love, which is another reason TX is calling to us. Thanks for the tip about Beecher's--we get up to Seattle once or twice a year, and my kids loves them mac n' cheese so we'll have to check it out next time.

We're at POP 9/5-9/6, then over to POFQ 9/6-9/20, then on to Austin and Galveston for 3 days for a "scouting trip." I already know to look for your matching blinged out t-shirts, and I'll be wearing the official DIS uniform of lime green crocs and baggallini (complete with LGMHPC's), and will also be sporting a lime green crocs hat to top it off.

See you there!

Diva Kristin, how was the Alaska cruise. Did you see any whales? Would you recommend it? Would you do it again?

BTW, I love Austin. I adore Austin. Austin is beautiful. Austin is funny. Austin is weird!:lmao: Austin is my 17 year old grandson's name.

Jamstew, remember when we were 40? Last week or so it seems. :confused3

Lived in Chicago burbs for 7 years going up! :happytv:

Do it! We had perfect weather...sunny 60s-70! :sunny:

You can get a cheap cruise out of Galveston! Divas did one last October! :boat:

Its not kid mac&cheese (ie orange) they make the cheese they use right there! Nevertheless my DS loved it too! (its located near the very first Starbucks so you can get your caffenine fix too!) :hyper:
