Disney discounted room only offer on UK-Expedia; ended 31 March.

Wow!!! That was so easy. They were able to pull up the confirmation numbers for both of the rooms I booked for myself and my sister. And now I can have some fun setting up MDE and picking my magic bands.

I am so glad you reported about calling Disney tech. Thank you so much for your help :woohoo:

Awesome!!! Glad you were able to get it squared away, peace of mind is wonderful :goodvibes

You can say that again :thumbsup2

Am going to try for those discounted tickets now. Can you please tell me which website to go to. I think I must not have been on the correct site because there was nothing about Disney tickets. I was soooo confused!!!

ETA...found the tickets but there was nothing about a rebate offer???

You have to log in through ebates.com. If you don't have an account, set one up. Once logged in, orbitz should be listed right in the front page, and it should say up to 20%off next to it.

Thanks so much for this! I was going to do 3 nights over Thanksgiving at Fort Wilderness and rent an RV, but just got Beach Club Garden View for way cheaper! My kids are going to FLIP for Stormalong Bay!

Great news an upgrade, a saving and some very happy kids, have a great time planning.....

Yes, even crazier with that extra 10% off code.

We only received the code this morning, so we tried a dummy booking for the same one night in March that we'd already booked and hey presto there's another 10% off, was tempted to rebook.

How do you get the 10% discount code?

Thanks!

Thanks so much for your help. Another job all done :cool1:

ok I am about to switch to the expedia uk site from booking straight through Disney and will save $800-$1000

won't they need some sort of UK ID to do this?? isn't this like getting a Florida resident discount where you have to show Florida ID??

has anyone checked in with this discount successfully already? do you need anything special at check-in? this seems too good to be true

No, you won't need a UK ID and it's not a special deal like an AP-Holder or Florida resident, there's no stated restrictions in the T&C's so it's available to anyone.

If not already done so read some of the earlier post via the first thread, hope you make those savings and please post any positive/negative feedback on your booking, best of luck.....

I was hesitant as well, but reading through these posts as well as messaging & emailing customer service on Expedia UK, it was confirmed that I could do this.
I have 2 reservations booked, now just waiting for my Disney confirmation number, which I should have by Tuesday. Once I have those, I will cancel my ressies through WDW that I am currently holding.

Thank you! Did you ask them if you will need to have a UK ID? Or if you have to be a UK citizen? Why isn't this more popular? Do I need to have my kids practice British accents?

They told me I certainly could!! And then gave me the link to the Expedia UK website. Also, said if I needed any help to contact them again.

I think most of people do not do it for a few reasons.
1) Who even knew there was an Expedia UK website that existed, LOL
2) Your transaction is processed as an International Transaction and that
scares a few people off.

I will feel 100% though, sitting at like 99% right now, once I get my Disney Confirmation and not just the one through Expedia UK. I just want to link everything through MDE and then I will so much more at ease.

This is what we had originally planned and booked through WDW Travel Company. (These were both for only 1 night each before each of our two upcoming cruises, I hate staying at the port and staying at WDW gives us something to do the night before)
Animal Kingdom Lodge-Pool View Room (1AD/1CH) - $468.00 Deluxe lower
Port Orleans French Quarter-Garden View (2AD) - $271.13 Moderate
TOTAL = $739.13

This is what I booked through Expedia UK
Contemporary Resort-Tower Room Bay Lake View (1AD/1CH)- $344.77
Beach Club Resort - Garden View Room ( 2AD ) - $341.45
Plus the foreign transaction fees - $6.87
TOTAL = $693.09

I am saving $46.04, over what I originally booked and I went from a lower level Deluxe and a Moderate Resort to 2 Premium Deluxes that I really wanted but just did not have the money to spend in our budget to get (budget was $700.00 and I had gone over that by $39.13, I am now under budget, not by much but still under budget and at my 2 favorite resorts), especially the Contemporary Resort.

Had I booked those same rooms through WDW Website this would have been the cost:
Contemporary Resort-Tower Room Bay Lake View $744.75 (saved abt 54%)
Beach Club Resort - Garden View Room $613.13 (saved about 45%)
TOTAL: $1357.88

I saved $671.66 through Expedia UK!!!

My youngest LOVES to talk in a British Accent, so maybe I will have him practice just in case.....I could try to find my Grandma's birth certificate where it lists her birthplace as London, England...not sure where that would get me though...lol

So I have my reservation linked to mde but it doesn't say balance remaining: $0.00 like the first one I had (then canceled) did. Is it like that for anyone else? I am not too worried, I know I paid lol I am just curious. I eventually have to call Disney to add DME so I can ask then but wondered if it was just like that for me.

tried a bunch of dates and didn't see any disney resort discounts. Didn't read about deal being dead. Is the deal dead?

Sorry you couldn't find any deals, which resorts/dates were you searching for as the offers still on?

And here's a few examples we found this morning....

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Standard View £136.30 ($228) per night between 3rd and 31st March, whereas rack rate varies $428 and $506, so a saving between 46% and 55%.

Disney's All-Star Music Resort Standard View £53.95 ($90) between 17th March and 13th April, whereas rack rate varies $152 and $186, so a saving between 40% and 51%.

Disney's Yacht Club Resort Standard View Club Level £206.52 ($343) per night between 2nd September and 15th October, whereas rack rate varies $657 and $757, so a saving between 47% and 55%.

As you can see there's still some amazing savings against rack rate, with the highest over weekend nights and holidays like Columbus and Thanksgiving but you need to be flexible with both dates and resorts, hope you can find something........

Are there still any deals from 10/2-10/7? We were thinking Caribbean but WL or Contemp wd be great if deal good eniugh.
