Disney discounted room only offer on UK-Expedia; ended 31 March.

Does anyone know if this is correct, that the hotel and not Expedia is supposed to provide the confirmation number? I would think that since we booked through Expedia, it would be Expedia's responsibility to provide that.

I think it's a website glitch that is causing the number not to show up for some people.

It's expedias issue to,provide because they are acting as the travel agent and disney won't deal with those booked via third parties. But, they have so many agents and most are located in India that if you don't like the response email again or message on FB.
 
Okay so I went ahead and booked my room reservation for my one night stay in December as well. I was currently booked at POFQ-GV, this vacation is for the night before DH and mine's (no kids) Disney Fantasy Eastern Caribbean Cruise.

Current: WDW Rate: POFQ-Garden View $271.13

Just now booked:
Expedia UK Rate: Beach Club-Garden View $341.45
**WDW Rate: $613.13 (around 44-45% off):cool1::cool1::cool1:

Now time to cancel my other reservations through WDW Travel Company and just wait on all my information through ExpediaUK.

Oh my gosh. A garden view room at Beach Club for our stay in June is $100 cheaper through Expedia UK than a standard view room is with my AP discount! Wilderness Lodge is WAY more expensive though. I guess it depends on the resort and days.

That's great news and is that a $100 saving per night or for your entire stay and yes it's not for all dates/resorts and rooms; you really need to be flexible and search all the room options at each resort and hopefully you find one or two bargains.

Seems unreal to find a general public rate cheaper than an AP rate, good luck if you book and please post a follow-up for others to compare.

Did it switch from booked to confirmed on your Expedia page? I think you need to wait for them to confirm it with the hotel.
 
I booked mine Wed night and I'm still showing booked not confirmed! I've sent numerous emails and can't get anything back and what's stranger ... I just got a email from ExpediaUk asking me to book my trip that's on hold! I click on the link and it's the trip in booked status, who knows :confused3

It takes longer than that like at least 3 days. And they are 6 hours ahead so emails can be delayed.
 
I called Disney tech support and they were able to find my reservation and set up mydisneyexperience. Excellent customer service :thumbsup2 They couldn't find my park tickets yet, but told me to call in the morning and they would look again and link it up. He also walked me through setting up my bands. Disney Rocks :banana:

Thanks so much for answering so quickly. Did it take very long for them to find your reservations? Did all you need to tell them was your name and phone number along with the travel dates? Thanks again for your help!

It didn't take long at all, the guy I had was amazing and very helpful! I just had to give him the basic info and couple things off the reservation sheet I printed off! I'm happy they can link tickets up from Orbitz as well! I hope they show up in the morning! I received my 20% cash back bonus today, so I know everything is going through :thumbsup2

That is so great!!! I tried checking out the Orbitz website but I couldn't find what links to click on so I gave up. I'm on hold with Disney now so I hope I get the same tech guy you had :)

Ok so I finally decide I'm going to book today after checking and rechecking details. I was comparing some rooms and numbers and when I finally booked, I booked AS-music instead of sports!!!! And it says king bed. BOO! How do I go about fixing this? Do I have to cancel and rebook or can I email or Fb them??? Thanks

You will need to cancel and rebook.

Wow!!! That was so easy. They were able to pull up the confirmation numbers for both of the rooms I booked for myself and my sister. And now I can have some fun setting up MDE and picking my magic bands.

I am so glad you reported about calling Disney tech. Thank you so much for your help :woohoo:
