Disney discounted room only offer on UK-Expedia; ended 31 March.

I was JUST now going to book and the code I was going to use yesterday has of course expired.

If I do from my phone is it correct, I can get a lower price since the mobile code isn't working online?

Can anyone please help me asap.

Expedia UK prices are slightly increasing now. 14 nights All-Star Sports Resort in Oct/Nov was £732 last week. Earlier this week the price increased to £742 and today to £748. I was actually hoping for a discount code in Feb to use for my trip in Oct/Nov but I decided to not longer wait in case prices are increasing further. I could always cancel and make a new booking anyway.

I succesfully used the MOBILE20NEW code so there seems to be no check if you are a UK resident or not.

I made this booking:

All -Star Sports Resort

Check-in: Fri, October 23 - Check-out: Fri, Nov 6 (14 nights)

Disney's rack rate: $1645.28
Walt Disney Travel Company UK: £827.96 = $1253.25
Expedia UK: £727.60 = $1101.34

Saving over Disney's rack rate, $543.94 so 33%
Saving over WDTC UK, $151.91 so 12%

Booking is confirmed, I'm waiting for the 12 digit reservation number now. 33% discount is not bad for a value resort, is it:yay:

it asked me for a phone number as well but i just skipped it. it did not prevent me from doing that so try hitting the next button.

You don't necessarily need to download an app. Booking from a mobile device is ok as well. I just went to the Expedia.co.uk website on my Ipad.

When you have to enter a telephone number you see a small British flag. If you click on this flag you can select another country.

I'm leaving work at 4 pm and my card is not going through but it looks like it is taking the code.
I need to call my credit card company and let them know I'm the one trying to make this charge, perhaps they think it may be fraud since this is the third card I have had in the last year due to fraud.

Right now, I'm on hold with DVC adding a Dining Plan on for a renter so I am not sure I am going to have time to do the card before I leave gggrrr
I rather not stay at work, I'll do when I get home from gym and will update.

okay, i just booked my room but now it says only one person is in the room when it should show two. any idea how i can correct that? do i have to phone expedia. uk?

You can also change the following, but a charge may apply:

To make changes to your hotel reservation

Go to My Itineraries.
Open the itinerary you want to change.
Choose Change Reservation under Manage Booking.
Select Edit for the changes you wish to make.

thank you so much! i'll see what i can come up with. i did call direct to the hotel as their web site suggested but they just referred me right back to expedia.

I emailed Expedia last Thursday about getting a different confirmation # than the one they're showing on my itinerary. They said they'd contact Disney and get back to me. As of today, the confirmation # hasn't changed to the one beginning with a 4.

Should I contact the Disney hotel directly?

i called the hotel directly, not for this reason but because the reservation only had my name on it and not dh's but the answer would probably be similar to what you would get.
they told me that they will not have access to the reservation, which includes reservation number, until 3 or 4 days before check in. they could not help at all and referred me back to expedia. so far thats been a waste of time.
try calling 1-407-w-disney to get the reservation number. thats the reservations desk and they should be able to get the number for you.

let us know how you make out, i'd be interested to know.

just a follow up from my previous reply. i just called the number i gave you and got my reservation number. i was able to confirm that expdia has fixed my reservation to show dh as well even though i have not heard back from expedia to let me know this is done.

when i called through i had a very nice cm who tried to help me however after i explained it was a booking through expedia she said she would have to put me through to another department and she went ahead and called them. i then talked with another wonderful cm who was able to get me my number in a matter of one minute. it was all very easy. i have added the confirmation number to my disney experience and i'm all set.

it truly was very easy so give it a try. have a great vacation.
 
OK, thanks! Just got off the phone with Disney CRO. They were able to locate my reservation made with Expedia UK and give me the correct confirmation # - took less than 2 minutes.

I've already plugged it into My Disney Experience and customized my magic bands. I'm good to go! :yay:
 
So if booking thru UK Expedia can you not get a dining plan added at all?

Also, would the best way to book this be to use Paypal (do I need to do anything in advance since its a foreign transaction?) - or should I use my Visa Debit and just alert my bank ahead of time (and ask about a foreign transaction fee, if any)?
 
Today I did what tinkerone suggested and called 1-407-w-disney to get my 12-digit confirmation #. It was a breeze. When I told I booked through Expedia UK the CM transfered me to another CM. I then had to provide my last name, arrival and departure date and the CM provided my confirmation #. I think it literally only took a minute speaking to the 2nd CM.

So the resort info is linked to MDE and my Magicband is customized. It starts to feel real now :cool1:
 
I'm very frustrated because I reserved 2 rooms together-one for us and one for a friend. I was able to call Disney and get the 2 confirmation numbers. I linked our room without a problem to our MDE but I gave our friend their conf number and was walking him through linking everything up and we realized his room has my name on it and 3 more slots for names. I need to take my name off and put his name on it.
I do not recall anywhere on expedia even asking for any names other than the person making the reservation (me).
I have called disney twice and got two different answers. First the lady told me she couldn't touch the ressie but to call back and speak with their UK travel dept and they could help me. When I called back to speak with that dept the first girl I spoke with told me no, I would have to call expedia and fix it with them. I asked her if we could just fix it at check in because we already have our dining ressies made and fast passes and those are not reliant on the room. She said she would not recommend that.
I have emailed expedia twice and still not received a response.
Any advice? I was trying not to cancel the room and rebook because I wanted the 2 rooms made together because I am requesting connecting rooms.
