Would love some input on my initial DDP itinerary. We are going 12/6-12/11, on basic plan. We did this in 06 and it worked out great, We plan a late 10-10:30 counter breakfast, afternoon snack, and dinner table service to relax and talk about the day. Myself, DH, and DD turning 13 week after we get home. She loves good food, just like us! Last time we ate out, she got the rack of lamb! LOL

Here goes:

Arrival day (BWV) oop lunch, any ideas?
early dinner at Le Cellier(Yum)

12/7
HSM rope drop
Breakfast at ABC or Starring Rolls~10:30
Dinner at Mama Melrose (never tried here before)

12/8
Magic Kindom
breakfast at Main Street Bakery (Yum!)
Casey's hot dogs OOP for dinner

12/9
Epcot Sunshine Seasons counter breakfast ~ 10:30
California Grill for Dinner (coincide with wishes) Time???(have never done this before)

12/10
Animal Kingdom
Counter breakfast ideas??? No more counter at Tusker?
late Dinner Rose and Crown and TRY to coincide with illuminations(time??)(never tried this before either!)

12/11 Leave :-(

I am not sure which should be last hurrah CG or RC, but think RC to finish with a bang, and maybe one last ride on soarin???

Any and all opinions greatly appreciated!:yay:

Please, anyone who has had recent meals at any of these restaurants! I know it is early for me to be worrying but want to make sure that I am making good choices! :dance3:

Looks good. :thumbsup2

On arrival day since you are going to be in Epcot for dinner I would have lunch at Epcot. Maybe Sunshine Seasons. There's a nice choice and many of the entrees are shareable.
Le Cellier is okay. If you can't get in may I suggest Tutto Italia as a backup. We ate there last Sept. for the first time and hope to do it again this year.

There's not much breakfast choice at DHS. I would do either Starring Rolls and/or Anaheim Produce. We haven't eaten at MM yet, keep meaing to.

California Grill is very good. :goodvibes Don't worry if you don't get a window seat. Unless you're right at the window the view is better off the observation deck anyway. I would try to make my ADR about 1-1/2 to 2 hours before Wishes. That way you'll either be having your dessert or will have already finished.

You're right, Tuskers is no longer doing counter service :confused3 but the Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery still does (right outside of Tuskers) Mostly Danish and fruit. Pizzafari has some different breakfast choices. Check out their menu.

I've wanted to do RC and watch Illuminations too. Sounds like a good idea.
Try to get an ADR around 7:30.

Looks good:thumbsup2
First day How about beaches & cream or Big River Grill

Yeah!:woohoo:Thank you both for your input, just what I was looking for.

Dizneydaz-Is Tutto similar to Mama Melrose? eating there the next night... DHS is truly limited.. maybe we should just fight the crowds at BW Bakery b4 we go! I can not wait for CG... hope we can get the date... would you say ADR ~ 1 1/2 before wishes?Thank you for time on RC, was not sure. We wanted to do that last time, but never fit it in, surprise, surprise!

Roedisney- Love your dog! Funny that you mentioned Beaches and Cream, we where discussing at dinner tonight a naughty lunch of just sundaes, so as not to fill up too much b4 Le Cellier!!! But not the kitchen sink!

Thanks again....Any more???:rolleyes1

I haven't eaten at MM so I don't know how similar they are except of course they are both Italian. :rotfl2: You could check the menu to see the differences. I know I had the salmon at TI and it was very good. :goodvibes

Duhhhh... In retrospect that was a dumb question!:lmao: I was just reading a gross thread of salmon at chefs de france.... may never eat salmon again after reading "I can't believe they did not comp your meal" Oh well.... I can always play with days to get the restr. that I want. Either MM or TUtto sounds yumm to me!

early dinner at Le Cellier(Yum)

We stayed at BWV in 2006. The Bakery is great!!! There's the pool bar, it serves lunch.
I would def. get an early dinner ADR at Le Cellier. 4:30-5:00 p.m. Everyone always tries for 6-7.

12/7
HSM rope drop
Breakfast at ABC or Starring Rolls~10:30
Dinner at Mama Melrose (never tried here before)

Breakfast at ABC Comm. is AWFUL!!! It's the worst breakfast I've had, period!!!
I've never had Mama Melrose. 50's Prime Time sounds more appealing to me. MM usually get's a bad wrap.

12/8
Magic Kindom
breakfast at Main Street Bakery (Yum!)
Casey's hot dogs OOP for dinner

Cinnamon Buns.... Mmmmmm.....
Casey's is good. Cosmic Ray's is good if you want variety.

12/9
Epcot Sunshine Seasons counter breakfast ~ 10:30
California Grill for Dinner (coincide with wishes) Time???(have never done this before)

Sunshine Seasons has great lunch. I'd eat something quick at the BoardWalk Bakery and eat lunch at SS.
Cali Grill at Wishes is nice. You'll have to wait for park hours to come out before you can make an ADR for Wishes here, which aint till Sept. It'll be around 9 p.m. (Wishes)

12/10
Animal Kingdom

AK we ALWAYS eat at Flame Tree BBQ. It's GREAT!!!!!!!!!
Try Coral Reef!!!We've eaten there 4 times and never had a bad meal, just go for an early dinner.

Also, I wouldn't waste my CS credits for breakfast. Breakfast fare is cheapest and some of it can be shared because it's so filling and BIG. Plus you can get a dessert for breakfast, and you can for lunch and dinner. Or get some Pop Tarts or cereal and eat breakfast in the room. You'll have a fridge and microwave if you're staying at BWV.

And you'll need lunch. I always thought I could eat a quick breakfast and skip lunch and have a TS dinner. Not the case, I was usually starved when lunch came around.

Thank you so much for all your input! There are scribbles all over my paperwork!! I have to admit that planning for a trip to Disney is almost as fun as going on a trip to Disney:rotfl: I have reworked my plans so many times and I still have almost 180 days to go! I knew that I could count on great ideas from the boards.... again THANK YOU!!!
