Disney Dining - just a thought - DVC

First - I don't want to get flamed for trying to cheat a system - cuz I AM NOT. Here is my story.

I am staying at Saratoga with DVC points. My brother called and said he would be in town and would like to join us. Great - I called and added him to my ressie and dining plan.

Here is my thought:
Let's say I was the mean sister and told him no you can't jump into our room go stay at Motel 8 - sorry no dining plan for you. BUT what would stop me from putting his name on the ressie anyway - getting his dining credits so he could eat on the plan and still sleep at Motel 8?

I know if this wasn't DVC points Disney would charge the extra $50 per night to add him to the room and then the $36.99 for the dining. But, since it is with DVC there would be no room charge.

Am I wrong here.....am I missing something?

True, there is no room charge. Why not just let him stay with you instead of the Motel 8? Really you are trying to cheat the system because the DDP is only for those staying on property.

I'm not sure why anyone would want to. There are room occupancy limits at DVC...so if you are in a studio, you can only have 4 over the age of 3, in a one bedroom it's pretty much the same thing.
I guess you could though. As long as there were the right number (not over the room limit) in the room, you could pay for an extra DDP. Would I? No. The DDP is barely a good deal for me as it stands now...in '08 it's a non-issue.

I'm the writer of the OP......to anyone that replied I was cheating the system - please reread my post. He IS staying in my room!!!! He is officially going to be a guest staying on property and has every right to the dining plan.

It was just a THOUGHT that technically someone COULD do the same with guest staying off property and get them the dining plan.

TO BE CLEAR.....I AM NOT DOING THAT!!!!
