Can a child with an AP get a DDE card? My son has an AP because of visiting WDW with his grandparents. I don't have AP - I don't go often enough. But if I'm not with the grandparents, can my son get a DDE card, or do they know it is a child's AP?

I just ordered my DDE card this morning over the phone with my annual pass vouchure! My trip is 3 weeks away, so the CM told me to pick up a temporary card at the Guest Relations at Epcot. (I've also heard on the boards that it's just a letter stating my membership, but I don't care what form the temporary membership comes in, plastic or paper....as long as I get my dinning discounts!)

My regular card will be mailed to my home address and will arrive in 4 to 6 weeks. (I can use my card for my October trip!)

You have to be 21 to order, but I would call and ask. because they offer alcohol threw it. I got BF an AP so he could order it. They did say that if I wanted one they'd have to put it under someone else's name so I'd call and ask.

You will not be able to get the DDE with a child AP. The person has to be 21+ to get the DDE because of the alcohol.

Yes they can tell what is a child AP and what isn't by the letter codes on the back.

No, because they do occasionally check for ID and the name on the card would have to match the ID. You used to be able to get a second card for free and be able to choose the name on it, but now it clearly states that you can only get a second card (which you must now pay for) for a spouse who lives in the same household.

The answer to your question is yes. It gives free valet parking when dining on the DDE card. Tecnically you do need to show your dinner receipt, but we've never been asked to show it.

The answer is yes, but only if you are AP holders (I'm assuming you're not a Florida resident). We bought these for my in-laws as a gift, and they are not Florida residents, but are AP holders. She would need to get your AP number from you, in order to buy the card for you, since the person at the office will need to look it up.
