Ok, my fellow disers..... I am sharing this news with my friends.
I was looking to buy the Fisher Price Digitial Camera (Tough Stuff) for my dd6.
Then while I was looking I stumbled upon a Disney Digital camera.
Although this is not a budget, I know many are looking for options for Christmas. There are 3 different ones:
Disney Pix Micro for $19.99
Disney Pix Click for $49.99
Disney Pix Max for $79.99

Places to purchase: kbtoys, bestbuy, ebay and target

If anyone know how the quality of the prints are please post.
Thanks :wizard:

I am going to do a little research. I was also looking into the FP camera but the Disney ones look promising. Thanks.

I ordered 2 of these from the Disney Store about 2 months ago. They have been on backorder and still are. I am really hoping to have them by Christmas at this point.

I'm glad you posted this question, as I was about to post the very same thing! I'm looking for a digital camera for DD8 for Christmas. I think the Fisher Price one looks too baby-ish for her, but I don't want to shell out the $$$ for a "real" camera. I am not a techie, and I don't understand what it means by VGA resolution on the $49.99 Pix Click. I understand what 3MP is on the $79.99 version, but I can't understand what the difference in picture quality would be between the two. Any input would be appreciated.

Ok, boy am I nuts about Disney! I just ordered the Disney Pix Click for my dd6 through Best buy. It is back ordered for 1-2 week, but thats fine. It's a x-mas gift. Look a little nicer than the FP camera.

Pixiedust the Max is the top of the line disney camera. Retail goes for $79.99.

Best Wishes! pixiedust:

We've been thinking about these cameras for out DD6 for Christmas as well. VGA should be 640 x 480 pixels - which is about .5 megapixel - to be clear, that's 1/2 a megapixel. This would probably be fine for a 4x6 picture, but nothing larger. To me, it's probably worth the extra $$ for the 3 MP camera - but I'm going to wait until I can see one in person before ordering anything. Hope that helps.

I saw these in the black friday ad for somewhere and am also looking for info on them. :)

I'm thinking about getting the 19.99 one from Best Buy for my son. I bought him the FP 55.00 one but he has added to his wishlist. They say the FP has poor pict. quality so I think the 19.99 would fit in to our budget better. I think I'll take the FP back. Thanks for the post. :thumbsup2 I personally like the 49.99 one better but for a 4 yr old-I think I'll go w/ the cheaper one.

It says it stores 15 pictures Can you buy larger memory cards or is that it? I really like the fact that you can do the disney grahics with the software but if all you can take is 15 pictures for us that would not be enough. My GS's took more than that at AK just of the geico's (sp) They love those little critters. :)

ETA: I was talking about the one in the quote below. Is it just me or does it say it holds 15 pictures.

Is this one of the ones you are talking about:

I'm hoping our local Best Buy will have them in stock.

The Best Buy site said it holds 24 pictures. I ordered one to be picked up at my local store. I'm going to find out about the memory. That was my only concern. I may decide to go w/ the 49.99 one. It holds up to 200 pics. :confused3

Ok-went to Best Buy today to pick up the 19.99 Cars micro camera. The pkg. says it holds up to 40 photos & is not memory expandable. It is a rather small camera. I bought the 49.99 Cars Click camera instead. It holds 200 photos. The Click also has a preview screen & the micro doesn't. It says for ages 5 & up. It's really cute. :thumbsup2

I ordered a Disney Click for DD for Christmas at Bestbuy and picked it up today, the blue/purplish Tink one, I also got the micro version for our nephew to take pictures with, the Cars version (he's only 6 but takes great pictures with all our cameras, now he'll have his own and not fight for DD's :rotfl2: )

ok I have got to get one of the camera's. Really though my husband and I were just talking about Santa bringing my 4 YO DS a camera for Christmas. He just loves to take pic's. Looking at the one Fisher Price has ......it seems really big and pricey.........anyhow........

Ok here is my ? On the $49 camera it says it has two face plates......what are they??? Also....any other stores have the camera???

It only comes w/ one faceplate. They had Cars & Pirates for boys & I think Tink for girls. I really don't think the faceplates are interchangable if that's what your asking. Best buy is the only store around here I've seen them. Ebay is over priced. I saw some at camera store on the net. But I wanted to look in person.

Can the software be used for other camera's? Just thinking that I could get the cheap 19.99 one just to use the disney software with my digital camera pics.

Thanks so much!!!!! I am thinking that Santa will be bringing a cars camera to our house!!!!

I just got back from looking at these in person at Best Buy. They had all three levels. I've decided on the Pix Max, the 3MP version, IF I can snag one on Black Friday for $49.99. The memory is expandable using additional memory cards. I didn't price those specific cards.

If anyone wants the princess one, I *think* TRU will have that one for $19.99 on Black Friday, according to the ad. Unless they bring in something new just for that day, the only princess digital camera they have is the Pix Click for $49.99 on the website.

ok...now I am confused. 3 levels?? I thought there was only 2. $19.99 and $49.99. Is there more??

So I called Disneyshopping and they only have the $19.99 ones with Tinkerbell, the princess, and high school musical.
