Disney Digital Camera's

ok...now I am confused. 3 levels?? I thought there was only 2. $19.99 and $49.99. Is there more??

So I called Disneyshopping and they only have the $19.99 ones with Tinkerbell, the princess, and high school musical.

Yes, there are 3 levels. The Pix Micro is the $19.99 one. It's tiny! The Pix Click is the $49.99 one. It's regular camera size, has VGA resolution (which another poster explained to me is about 1/2MP). It comes in different character faceplates. The Pix Max is the highest level, at $79.99. It is a 3MP camera and has a slot for an additional memory card. From what I could tell from the packaging, all come with Disney software for editing pictures on the computer.

Since my DD is 8, I want something that looks a little less childish (which is why I ruled out the FP camera immediately). The Pix Max only comes in a silvery-blue color. It looks most like a "real" camera.

Does anyone know if a 3 year old could use any of these cameras? I've thought about the Fisher Price one, but it seems pricey for the camera. I haven't seen the Disney ones in person or the Fisher Price one in person, so I was hoping someone who has seen them could tell how complex they are to use? My son uses my Canon (when I'm not looking), but I was hoping to find one that is super easy to turn on and take a picture.

Just picked up my Disney Pix Click today. Yeah!!! :cheer2:
Just and FYI for those looking at buying at Best Buy. They say there are faceplates to the camera, there are not. Just so you are aware.
Can't wait till X-mas to give to dd6!

Have a magical day!

I think only silver/blue. I haven't seen characters in Best Buy or online.

I've looked into these and other less expensive cameras made for kids - none of them seem sturdy & flexible enough to deal with my trigger-happy 9yo (He's the only kid I know who would take 30 identical pics of the fire-globe in Epcot :rotfl:

I'm just going to wrap up my old Kodak EasyShare 3.1MP with a new 1GB SD card (these are going for about $13 at Walmart on BF). The camera isn't in top condition, but for a kid who's going to outgrow it fast anyway it's perfect.

I decided to buy DD7 the 5mp easyshare this week [$49.99 Office Depot flyer took to Sears, they PM'd it + add'l 10%].

Found these skins...
LOVE THEM. Since your camera is free, maybe you can splurge and make it look 'like new'...

$14.95
click on design you like, then click on the device you want, etc.

of course, I'm so cheap...i just bought some rub-on transfers to try to decorate it with. I'm going to buy a 512 SD card for $8 on black friday.

Can the software be used for other camera's? Just thinking that I could get the cheap 19.99 one just to use the disney software with my digital camera pics.

That is what I would like to know.... I would definitely buy the cheapie just for the software!!! Anyone know for sure?
