God didnt say make a beautiful noise unto the Lord, he said make a joyful noise. So you just go ahead and sing, we wont complain about it at all. :teeth:

Oh - I didn't say I don't like to sing - I said I can't sing!!

My two sisters and I were at my brother's wedding the the two guy band starting singing - I will Survive -

which was totally unacceptable - so the 3 of us - each of us a worse singer than the other - took over for them -

3 drunk grown women who can't carry a tune singing I will survive at their brother's wedding -does it get any better than that?

Thanks!

Got that speech ready? Looks like tonight's the night! :teeth:

Amy :)
Actually it will probably be tomorrow. I HAVE to finish decorating my tree tonight. We're supposed to be at a Christmas party but I talked DH out of it because I was too pooped to go. If I hang out on the computer all night he's going to freak.

I can't believe I only have 3 more to go. I think I had about 40 more yesterday!

Amy and Kevin - I was at the mall around 4:30 today - had to get the toys at TDS buy one fet one free - I spent $70  oops!!

so driving around and looking at Christmas lights seemed like a great idea -

we started with dinner at BW3's - it iwas delightful until I looked over at where Julia was playing and she was gone - we were at the section above the bar and it was seperated by a platform high step and a railing - hanging from the railing was a banner - that must have looked like a wall to my DD - who leaned on it and promptly fell into the bar - hitting her head - she sobbed for a good long while but thankfully no bump and she was coherent

the ladies on the other side of the bar were freaked out about it - once Julia calmed down she went to thank them for helping her - for some reason one of them felt the need to replay the scene for me - describing in detail the sound Julia's head made hitting the ground - ugh!!

we then headed to one of the park's holiday in lights - thought about crashing Amy and Kevin's house :p - we had a $2 coupon which we forgot - big deal - until we are in line and I say - I don't have my purse - do you have $10 - DH says I am sure I do - we were able to scrounge up $9.63 :rotfl: suddenly the $2 was a big deal -

after spending 20 minutes waiting to get to the gate and still not being able to see it - we decided to bail -after all - we didn't know how they would react to our sob story about forgetting the coupon and being short 37 cents

once we left - we drove around and had fun talking and listening to the radio - so it turned out okay despite a few speed bumps

I told DH we really need to head to the west side of town though - the east siders can't even begin to compete - I told him I will not rest until we find a house with santa and all 8 reindeer on the roof, a natvity scene, a blow up snowglobe and a grinch with 1000's of lights - and a train for Nick - then my Chirstmas light viewing will be complete

he was so excited when we found in our neighborhood a house missing only the nativity scene to complete my mission - :rotfl:

OMG Kate
thank goodness Julia is ok, moments like that really do stop your heart :earseek:

Terry

Wow Kate, I'm glad Julia is ok. I've had a few people fall at the bar over the years, but never a child :rotfl:

I just got home from work. Would have been home a couple of hours ago, but dh stopped by and was catching up with everyone as he used to work there too. He had a few drinks so we left my car there and I drove him home. We actually sat there so long talking about the different auto dealerships that the guys work at that I had to have a couple of Ameretto Sours to tolerate all the guy talk. I swear they were bickering like 3 year olds over who cars were better, Toyota, Ford or Saab. Couldn't wait to see what you all were up to, but you've been quiet.

Glad Julia is OK. That sounds like an exciting way to start the evening.

Yep, we made it to the mall as well. It was more like 5:00 after everyone in the house finished their naps.

The first stop was our second visit with Santa for the day.

I, however, was not aware that TDS had a buy one get one free toy sale going on. I found out quickly. (We obviously cannot go to the mall without stopping in.) Amy is looking over my shoulder informing me that SHE was well aware of the sale as it was posted on this very thread. I guess I need to read more carefully. We walked out spending $60. Alyssa now has six of the Disney Princess dolls. Amy would not let me buy all eight that were there. I'll convince her to get Pocahontas and Mulan eventually. And then we will have to find Tinkerbell and Esmeralda to complete the set.

After that it was on to a graduation open house, home to watch JoJo and now Amy is REALLY wrapping presents. No kidding!

Did she really say wrapping presents?!?! Yeah, right. She's sound asleep snoring on the futon behind me. What, does she think she's two months pregnant or something? :confused3

Anyway, here's how we spent our morning.

It was our community breakfast with Santa. Alyssa couldn't wait to see Santa. And who knew that Mrs. Claus was a member of our church? ;) I'm sure that she will be very glad I got her in such a candid expression.

Alyssa looks like she is having such a good time visting Santa. She is adorable.

Before Amy went to bed, however, I was instructed to share pictures of our Disney tree. Unfortunately, I couldn't seem to get a good focus on the "full tree" shots I took, so I'll take you on a tour of the tree and give you one out-of-focus shot of the whole thing. Let's start at the top:

alyssatoptreepost.jpg

And now, the middle (my only non-flash shot that turned out in focus despite taking the time to set up the tripod, oh, well, try again later):

The bottom:

And the whole tree:

That's one tree complete, another tree to set up this weekend. And then, maybe we can start putting out the rest of our Christmas decor. It's all staying out through the end of January this year since it went up so late!

Now, I think I will join Amy in a little afternoon nap. Although, Alyssa will probably be interrupting both of us in a very short time. I think we're headed out to the mall for a second Santa sighting this afternoon.

--Kevin

I love your tree. I reallly really want a disney tree. I think that I will start collecting more disney ornaments. Is the tink topper the one they have at the disney store?

Hey guys! Keep on keepin' it slow tonight, PLEEEEEEASE?! :rotfl:

Our "Disney Dinner" was a lot of fun. Hopefully some day I can post pictures and a pre-trip report or something about it.

Cassi literally didn't believe we were flying for a few solid minutes. She just thought I printed her out a small version of a shirt design or something (which it was) and that was it. My mom was like, "Aren't you excited?!" And she said, hesitantly, "Yeah" (with this goofy smile). When we finally convinced her she was really flying, she couldn't stop bouncing around all night!

We played the wonderful world of music game with no incorrect cards, by the way :)

I'm EXHAUSTED, and have a long day with church and studying tomorrow. I'll try to post more details, etc, but it may be after the trip :guilty:

Goodnight! :goodvibes
