Had a blast! Flight out last night cancelled fro snow here... drove to Tampa and left on a flight 2 hours later than original. Not bad considering the flights were a big mess! Raining in Orlando, just didn't feel like staying in the rain.

T-Figs ... what happened to you on Dec 1st, we were there , met Ray and everyone, were soooo bummed you weren't there

Laundry is piled. I have a lot to report...I'll be on and off...

Did she really say wrapping presents?!?! Yeah, right. She's sound asleep snoring on the futon behind me. What, does she think she's two months pregnant or something?

Anyway, here's how we spent our morning.

It was our community breakfast with Santa. Alyssa couldn't wait to see Santa. And who knew that Mrs. Claus was a member of our church? I'm sure that she will be very glad I got her in such a candid expression.

Before Amy went to bed, however, I was instructed to share pictures of our Disney tree. Unfortunately, I couldn't seem to get a good focus on the "full tree" shots I took, so I'll take you on a tour of the tree and give you one out-of-focus shot of the whole thing. Let's start at the top:

And now, the middle (my only non-flash shot that turned out in focus despite taking the time to set up the tripod, oh, well, try again later):

The bottom:

And the whole tree:

That's one tree complete, another tree to set up this weekend. And then, maybe we can start putting out the rest of our Christmas decor. It's all staying out through the end of January this year since it went up so late!

Now, I think I will join Amy in a little afternoon nap. Although, Alyssa will probably be interrupting both of us in a very short time. I think we're headed out to the mall for a second Santa sighting this afternoon.

My mother used to make the best divinity. When we were living in warm locations, she would crank up the air conditioning and make it really cold inside and then we would take turns stirring and stirring. Unfortunately I lost the recepie.

Sorry for your losses (both your DGM and her recipes). It inspires me, though. I'm going to call my mom tonight to get her recipes for Christmas cookies. We're doing a cookie & cookie recipe swap at work a week from Monday. I hope Mom has some of the traditional German recipes, like Pfeffernusse, since no one else at work will have that -- although what I really miss are her Angel Kisses (yummy!). She hasn't baked in a long time due to both her failing health and the depression that came along with it, so I hope she can find all those recipes!

OK, DH must have PMed you a smilie request. After watching the Food Network's "Holidays at WDW" special, I admitted to him that the GF scenes made me think of Denise and her family, how happy I was for them that they had a great trip, how I read her trip report, etc, etc. He promptly called me a loser. (But I knew all of you would all understand.)
