julia & nicks mom said:Amy and Kevin - I was at the mall around 4:30 today - had to get the toys at TDS buy one fet one free - I spent $70oops!!
so driving around and looking at Christmas lights seemed like a great idea -
we started with dinner at BW3's - it iwas delightful until I looked over at where Julia was playing and she was gone - we were at the section above the bar and it was seperated by a platform high step and a railing - hanging from the railing was a banner - that must have looked like a wall to my DD - who leaned on it and promptly fell into the bar - hitting her head - she sobbed for a good long while but thankfully no bump and she was coherent
the ladies on the other side of the bar were freaked out about it - once Julia calmed down she went to thank them for helping her - for some reason one of them felt the need to replay the scene for me - describing in detail the sound Julia's head made hitting the ground - ugh!!
we then headed to one of the park's holiday in lights - thought about crashing Amy and Kevin's house- we had a $2 coupon which we forgot - big deal - until we are in line and I say - I don't have my purse - do you have $10 - DH says I am sure I do - we were able to scrounge up $9.63
suddenly the $2 was a big deal -
after spending 20 minutes waiting to get to the gate and still not being able to see it - we decided to bail -after all - we didn't know how they would react to our sob story about forgetting the coupon and being short 37 cents
once we left - we drove around and had fun talking and listening to the radio - so it turned out okay despite a few speed bumps
I told DH we really need to head to the west side of town though - the east siders can't even begin to compete - I told him I will not rest until we find a house with santa and all 8 reindeer on the roof, a natvity scene, a blow up snowglobe and a grinch with 1000's of lights - and a train for Nick - then my Chirstmas light viewing will be complete
he was so excited when we found in our neighborhood a house missing only the nativity scene to complete my mission -![]()

Just finished doing the most depressing letter asking for Medicaid for Rees (medically necessary Medicaid for kids with disabilities). he does so well, but when you look at all the stuff on paper it's really hard to swallow. Oh, well. Doesn't matter. He's the most awesome kids in the world and I'm so lucky to be his mom and have him here instead of heaven. Ok, I'm crying and signing off. Sorry to be a downer, but being the parent of a special needs child is such a privilege and a heart breaker at the same time. Night all.
Good thing that it wasn't a man raising the monkies. Where would he keep them!!??dumby said:I saw something really strange today at the mall. My DS5 and I were standing in line to see santa and a lady walks up behind us and there is something in her shirt/bra (she had on a low cut top). At first it thought it was some kind of animated toy she had put there to draw attention to her ****s but --- It was moving and you could see its tongue moving in and out kind of like a cats, Anyway I said OMG what is that. SHE HAD THREE BABY MONKEYS in her bra. The little head I could see was about the size of a 1/2 dollar.
She said she raises them and they only get to be 1 pound each. Can't remember what she called them but they were absolutely adorable. COST $2000 dollars OUCH.
She said she has to keep them close to her body for the first four weeks of their life so they would survive so she keeps them in her bra.
A friend of mine at Victoria Secrets said she came in and bought a couple of oversized bras. HOW STRANGE IS THIS!!!
I have always wanted a monkey for a pet. My DH said NO WAY. LOL

Tammi67 said:I cannot believe that there were only a few pages that I needed to catch up on this morning. You all must have been worn out from the other night. I finished up my shopping yesterday, got all my tshirts washed, and started ironing a few. Then we had a Christmas party to go to at a neighbors house. We have such a good neighborhood. Everyone gets along, we all have children that play together, and we even LIKE eachother. I can't imagine living somewhere where I didn't have neighbors that I could depend on and socialize with.
So today is the big day that Nicholas and Alyssa find out we are going to WDW. I won't be back on until late this afternoon. I will get pictures up as soon as I can. Thanks again, Kate!

it's nights like these that I think Oprah should do a show about us and how we have formed internet friendships and how great this thread is!!
but then I am afraid we might be more appropriate for Jerry Springer!!

I still need to learn what about 70% of the program does, but it obviously has more possibilites than the printshop program that I was using.

She probably thought I was very nosy but that was the strangest thing I think I have ever seen at the mall.
