I think that is a good idea. Did you suggest a name for the thread?

I didn't suggest a name, but I'm sure somebody creative can think of one.... comeon DDAers - if you like the idea, what would you change the name to???

I have a good friend on the staff of the University, she's in Pysical Therapy. Let me know if you want me to ask her to show you around. She's a great person and will be able to answer alot of the questions you may have.

(its a university as well as a hospital, just so you know)

yeah, he actually interviews with the staff of the university. In most towns everyone asks "what hospital is he applying to?" and I have to explain that he applies to medical school residency programs, and then works in the area hospitals :teeth:

I would LOVE to see the area while Kyle's interviewing. Especially if there are graduate nursing programs (not sure if that's one of them or not). I'll ask again closer to the date when I figure out our exact schedule. Thank you!

That is a great ideal but I am not creative enough to come up with a name.

I guess we better get the QUEEN's approval first though. :rotfl:

Here's another fun thing to do with sugar cookies if you have small kids. I get salt shakers and fill them up with powdered jell-o. then before the cookies bake, I let the kids sprinkle on the color they want. They bake up bright and vibrant, and the flavor is out of the world. It is also a little less messy than candy sprinkles. Anyway, if anyone's interested, that's what we do!

That sounds fun!!!

OMG - you all have been a chatty bunch today!!!

first off - I have to say it:

WHO DEY!!!!

This is the first time in 15 years the Bengals have had a winning record and unless the season goes horribly wrong - WE ARE GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS!! That is so hug here and so much fun!!!

I am holding the 15% offer card in my hand:

here are the details:

15% off 120 points or more

the number for friends and family to get the discount is (866)382-3577 and you need to give a DVC name to get the savings - please feel free to use my name for the referral

Current Prices start at 14,700 for a new ownership interest - not financed

as far as the HH Vero question - Marti and I tend to go in off season - and that is why we don't have trouble booking - if you want to go in more crowded seasons - you might have a little more difficutly getting a room

No problem!!

Here is the current financing info from DVC - you have to start with a 150 minimum purchase

150 points @ SSR x $98.00 per point = $14,700.00
Less 15% promotional credit from Disney as downpayment = $ 2,205.00
Less 10% REAL CASH mimimum downpayment = $ 1,470.00

Balance to Finance through Disney @ 10.75% = $11,025.00
Monthly payments over 10 years (approx) = $ 150.31

The Disney promotional credit above is the "Freinds and Family" discount currently running. This may end at any time. Also, we received 150 points for 2005 and will get another 150 points in 2006.

I also just read that Vero and HH have higher annual dues - so even though the points may be cheaper up front - you will probably pay more in the long run

My Dh & I have gone back & forth over whether to purchase the DVC for the past 5 years now...we end up getting a good deal (like the free dining in Oct) since we go off season so we haven't bought into it yet.

I will be here being the "mommy taxi" as the kids will be back to school then. I hope the interview goes well!!! I guess you are thinking of moving here? Long Island is a nice to place to live, lots of shopping, close to NYC, great schools..taxes stink though! :earseek:

I KNOW!!! I can't believe you all beat my Steelers!

By the way, thanks for all the info regarding DVC. Boy, that's almost robbery for the interest rate Disney has. But, of course, it's Disney.

I got a PM back from Baloo - she said she'd change the name if most of the answers back were positive about changing it. Please voice an opinion, if you have one on this! Thanks!

Finally, I think all of our decorating is done. Here are the results:

Tree with lights on:

Tree with lights off:

The outside of the house. There is a single candle in each window. Sorry that it looks like there is fire. It's hard to get a good night shot.

Your house looks lovely.

OK I'm way back here on page 1011.
So here is our little Christmas Tree.
DSCF0632.jpg

Just a small ceramic tree with a Tinkerbell topper.
We used to have a 7 foot tree.
That we decorated with all the Disney Beanies.
Ceilings in this house are to low.
So this is what we do.
Also the cats play with the other trees.
So we are happy with this.
I put it up & I have to take it down.
WFTM so I keep it simple.
I would change 1 thing.
I wish it lights up.
