Denise - regarding the trimming, and I have only done white shirts so far, but I trimmed all around the design, as close as I could. I will prob. do this for the dark as well, simply because I don't want to be able to see a big rectangle, no matter how inconspicuous it is. ( I know I am anal like that (poop thread, I know)). They do look great though. I especially love the Family Magic Tour one.

eh.... there will be dinner. my mom is making stuffed shells, and they will be AMAZING. And homemade garlic bread.... so the eating will be good. Thank God for moms who will do anything for their daughters to make the day a little better.

Just nothing is going as planned..... I'm going to snap out of this funk, we'll enjoy dinner and a game or two and I'll be thankful for my family and husband. All will be well, I'm just havin' a bit of a pity party because DH is a real stinker sometimes (on a very rare occasion) and I don't feel well at all to boot.

Just one of those days..... it's just extra lame when it's on your birthday

I stole background from someone who posted early on....It's for my mom who's going on our trip in January.

Oh and it's not sticking so well? Any tips?? I just bought transfer paper from Walmart. Thinking maybe I should sew the edges? Thanks.

Denise, when I did dark shirts I put two pieces of parchment over the design (they overlapped and covered ALL the edges). Worked great.

I'm glad you posted this. I melted the edges of the only full size transfer I did. I was thinking about overlapping the parchment in the future but I didn't know if the overlapped area wouldn't adhere well. Glad to know it works!

Please help!! I love this sweatshirt. It's Kate's design of Cindy and Prince and says "Proof that a great pair of shoes really can change your life." I wore it all through WDW this weekend at night and got lots of appreciation for the design. It is perfect for DBF and I because before we started dating he would tease me about how many shoes I would by when I wasn't dating and was "shopping" for a prince.

Denise,

from experience, unless you are using double layer for the parchment paper when doing dark transfers, do not layer just crossing the paper a little so you can cover the whole design because that will show a line on the design trust me Steffy and I know from experience

Denise, good luck on the shirts- press hard! and remember to move the iron constantly or the edges might burn.

Marti, you are a lucky gal!! I tried to talk DH into a quick run back down early next year because of the new MYW discounts that are out but he told me to get lost since we are already going December '06.

Denise, another thing I just thought of as I was looking at all of your designs. When we ate a Chef Mickey's last Dec. Donald Duck was there too. You better get his picture in there with everyone else or he is going to be quite agitated. He is already mad that the restaurant is named after Mickey! On second thought, it might be quite comical. I remember Kate saying that Alice was a bit upset that she was not in Julia's princess shirt. By the way, can I give you all of my designs and have you coordinate them with the appropriate color of shirt??????

I think on the adult ones I did it 3-3.5" down. On the little ones, I think I eyeballed it

for reason I can't go into right now - I have made the decision that I am not longer going to continue designing - I will finish the requests that I currently have - but I can not accept anymore.

EDITED TO ADD: I am okay - as is my family - I am a little overwhelmed and some things might come to a head in the next few days that could hinder my ability to keep designing - I do not want to take requests and not be able to follow through with them -

Denise - How is the ironing going?? I can't remember if your kids' surgery is tomorrow or Thurs., so I am going to pass on my well wishes now. Hopefully everything will go smoothly and painlessly and everyone will be well again soon, just in time for Thanksgiving and Disney!
