I just ordered the green orchid clutch for my daughter to carry. Shanda says its very pretty. I will have pictures in less than 2 months for you.

Lori - what color are the orchids? Did she tell you what kind? I had green cymbidium orchids and LOVED them..they were so pretty!

Hmmmmm...... The description said green orchids, so I am assuming it will be the same as the orchids in the tropical bouquet.

I just have to say, I like this thread a lot! You ladies are such a talkative and fun group and are so helpful! I'm on another thread for 2012 brides and it's not as much fun over there plus I think I'm the only cruise bride

I can not wait to se Mikkel's pictures of Lisa's wedding. Lisa tell everyone about the GIFTS Disney gave you! ALl I got was a memory book and ONE towel! UGH. LOL

I have booked another bride for the Halloween cruise for next year and I have a bride thinking about Thanksgiving for 2013. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE booking trips and working with brides!

Us DCL brides have to stick together! It is so fun reliving my wedding again!

One of the cast members told me that they are switching from the cake server to the double set of oversized beach towels in a beach bag. We were lucky to get both of them but I am not sure they will do that forever...she did not know either. All of the website stuff does not list any gifts anymore...

We also got a fruit basket in our room when we boarded and chocolate covered strawberries and champagne the night of our wedding. Is that normal as well? I haven't heard anyone talk about that. I took pictures of everything and will include them in my TR. I have just started it.

OMG did we get the gifts!! I will fill you all in tonight but yes, Disney was very good to us that regard...

AND...anyone planning a wedding if there is any advice I can give you is Lisa made everything so much easier and her services are no charge to you so I say yes, utilize her help and expertise...

I got the same thing. The two beach towels are huge!!

I asked Shanda a while back about the cake server set and this is what I got back:

2. You sent me the paperwork for the 2011 weddings back in January when we first talked, now the cake flavors and some of the gifts for the couple are different online than what I originally got from you. Do we need to pick flavors from the Disney weddings website or just go with the original paperwork? I noticed the complimentary 8x10 and cake service set are no longer offered either?
Attached is the most current planning guide & information for your reference. The 8x10 photo and cake services set are still included in the package.

I think I'd rather have the towels, quite honestly. DF and I have so many other cool things from our trips that the cake service would be nice, but probably would get pushed out of the way. Both would be cool though! I think the new 2012 paperwork has the cake service and photo listed, but not the website.

I'm just happy to be getting an awesome wedding and to have cool ladies to help me with my questions! Thanks ladies for everything! Lisas, I can't wait to see the full trip reports. I know I'll have lots of questions for you as I get closer, so you'll just have to stick around until April....

Welcome aboard fruit basket, when we got on the ship. We also had two beautiful robes for us and matching slippers!!!!
second night...our wedding gift with the tote and two beach towels (more like blankets, they are huge! lol)
We got on our wedding night a bottle of fairytale something...I forget but we took it home for our one year anniversary as well as chocolate covered strawberries and a complimentary 8x10. Also our cake serving set was there with our wedding topper!
Our parents were also given chocolate covered strawberries in their rooms....


I don't know if I forgot something but if I do I will def. come back and let you know! Disney was very generous (although I suspect they configured all this "generosity" into the price

I wish I could have the cake server to pass down to my daughter..silly I know, but I like things like that ...passing down stuff

Lisa - it sounds like you hit the jackpot..lucky! I got a bridge tour too but only because I asked if it was possible...but still pretty cool!
