VOW RENEWAL CEREMONY

INTRODUCTION

________ and_________, welcome to the re-affirmation ceremony of your marriage.

On this beautiful occasion, I commend you both. In this day and age, it has becoming increasingly rare to see couples sustain a commitment to each other. By contrast, you are taking this moment at this place to express to the world your continued and growing love for each other.

CEREMONY

So, we have gathered here (in the presence of family and friends) to re-affirm your marriage vows and the love you have for each other.

You entered into this union advisedly and reverently. The years have drawn you closer, not only as husband and wife, but also as the very best of friends.

VOWS
(Turn to face each other and join both hands)

(Husband)
I _______________ re-affirm that you ________________ are my wife and my best friend. I promise to continue my love for you, to cherish you, to honor you, and to keep you. In good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, whatever the future may bring, I shall continue to be true to you all the days of my life.

(Wife)
I _______________ re-affirm that you ________________ are my husband and my best friend. I promise to continue my love for you, to cherish you, to honor you, and to keep you. In good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, whatever the future may bring. I shall continue to be true to you all the days of my life.

At this time, is there anything you would like to say to personally express your love for one another?

RINGS

When you first stood side-by-side for your marriage celebration, you presented to each other a ring. The rings became symbols of your bond and devotion and ever-lasting love.

Today we re-affirm the bond of love by again giving and receiving these rings.

(Husband)
____________________ will you place this ring on the proper finger of your wife and repeat after me…
With this ring, I re-affirm my love and marriage to you, and shall continue to share with you all my life has to offer today, tomorrow and forever.

(Wife)
____________________ will you place this ring on the proper finger of your husband and repeat after me…

With this ring, I re-affirm my love and marriage to you, and shall continue to share with you all my life has to offer today, tomorrow and forever.

CONCLUSION

For as much as you have re-affirmed your wedding vows and endless love for each other, I re-affirm that you are husband and wife.

_________________ , you may now re-affirm your love by kissing your beautiful wife.

Let those present and those who may be told know that standing here before me are
Mr. and Mrs. __________________________.

…And they continued to live happily ever after!

Betsy,

Love your rings, absolutely beautiful! Thanks for posting the vows, I am so excited to ahve an idea what he's going to say!!!!

Wow I love the vows!! They're beautiful!!

It's still pretty early, but this is our plan. I have a diamond and ruby tennis bracelet dh gave me on our wedding day. unfortunately after 8 yrs of 24/7/365 wear, it's broken. agian, and again, and again. Rather than try to fix it, we've decided to try and get it remounted into an anniverseary band. there are 21 stones in the original braclet and i want 10 of them to go into the anniversary band. the remaining 11 will be set in a necklace. It's at the jewelers right now, he's making a couple different molds to see which we prefer.

And i plan to buy dh a new band. his is also very thin and it's broken once already. So i'd like to get him a new better one.

What a lovely idea Jennifer. I have a feeling no new rings here, but it's the VR I want, so I can go with the same ring I've had for 25 years. I do need to get them resized before then as they keep falling off.

Yeah, DH wasn't to impressed with the idea of "getting rid" of his wedding gift, but I think he understands now.

Yeah for rings that are too big now!!!:cool1: Keep up the good work!!

just got an email!!

I can bring my wedding bouquet off the ship when I leave..they have gotten special permission!! YEA!!!
I was kinda sad that I would have to get rid of them before I left since it was only a 3 day cruise...

HAPPPY!!!

i think there would be someone in there between you and me!

I am going to leave you something..look for a magnet in the safe..on the inside roof!!

That's so great!! I've been thinking I would have to get Silk because I want to take it home with me!! Make sure you print that email and take it with you!!

I don't know why I was thinking that you were leaving on the 27th. But now I'm so excited to look for the hidden magnet!

do you have any VR pictures online you could share with us stalkers??

I read that somewhere else, since the flowers were going on the stateside, they were ok to come off there. Did they really say they got you special permission?? Cause I WANT MY FLOWERS to come off with me!!!!! A little rant there, sorry. I really dont' want to leave them or throw them over or any of that stuff. I want to enjoy them as long as I can. (I was also told that to bring a 'tupperware' container to put your left over cake in and pack it in your suitcase). (don't know if that is something I'll try or not, now that our VR is the beginning of the cruise and not the end).

her words we got special permisson to remove the flowers...I have to leave my palo flowers, but not the bridal bouquet

In several of the DCL wedding reports I've read, the bride was told she could bring her flowers back into the US b/c they originated in the US (the bouquets are made at WDW). :confused3

It's been so long since I've posted pictures that I can't remember how to do it. They are in photobucket - any helpers?:confused3

Think that maybe I've got it. Okay - don't have many, but here goes. (Sorry they are so large.) The first one is how our stateroom host had the bed decorated when we got back after dinner. He used the bouquets, Cinderella cake topper, and other stuff. Really nice surprise. Second one was taken by DH and DS when they went on the galley tour the day of our VR. Our cake was in the midst of being decorated. The other people on the tour thought it was so cool that the groom and best man were there to see it. DD and myself were getting some last minute sun and then to get our hair done. The last picture was taken at dinner of myself, DD and our DIS friends. They (and their spouses, but who needs them in the picture) attended our VR. There really is a DH, just don't have a picture of him!

How great that your DH was able to see the cake being made!! And WOW! Love that cake, gives me hope that i won't have to use the "standard" DCL cake!

I've heard that Disney says you CAN take the flowers off because they were made stateside, but thinking along the lines as the Custom's Officer, they have no way to know for sure that they were made stateside, and that the bride isn't just trying to pull a fast one! And I would think they would say no just to be extra safe. You would think that Disney, and other cruise lines, would have a way for the CO's to know which are their flowers and make it easier for brides to keep their flowers.
