Does anyone have info on the points received from this card and how we can use them? I received one mailing indicating a point for every dollar and than the pts can be used towards disney purchases, including park tickets and accommodations. When calling the bank they had no details. Anybody out there know how many pts are needed to get what level of ticket or accommodation?

I think you can trade in the points like Disney Dollars towards just about anything Disney from passes to hotel rooms.

However, the points received per dollar spent are WAY below one on one. I think it's more like one point for every $10 but I'm not sure myself on how it is figured.

There is a new posting on the Disney Member site about pins that are going to be made available to Members through the Disney Visa. I think if you are just signing up you will get it free. The rest of us have to order it and pay $6.95. It's the first in what they say will be a series.

You get 1% back- 1 dollar for every 100 you spend.

Our Rewards Dollars paid for dinner at Cape May Cafe and The Yachtsman Steakhouse during our July Trip. :D

They take the certificates anywhere that Disney Dollars are excepted. You have to sign the back of each one before using it. And they do NOT give change for them.

You can order them right through the Bank One Website once you sign up to access your account online.

Disney Visa offers a 1% rebate as Disney Rewards. Their is a pdf file you can download with all the information.

  Okay, I was only off by 1 "0"! LOL! I would hope they could offer some "double point" incentives but so far, nothing.

I'll be honest, I use my card, but I don't pay the bill:eek:

My husband pays the bills and while I look at most of our expenses monthly that particular card is my "FUN" card and if I looked at it I would probably not use it because if its high interest and very poor "features"!

So that being said,

how do they rewards get sent out? is there a number on the statment and I call for redemption? Are the points coming each month?

How do I redeem! Our trip is in Dec. If I could get anything towards our AP I would be so excited :Pinkbounc

Thanks for the info.

You can go to their website and it will let you order them right off there. You have to have at least $20 in points and it comes in $10 increments. It took only 1 week to get mine AND they had an expiration date on it. So you can't order them years ahead of time (they expired 12-31-03). It does say it takes 3-4 weeks to come, maybe when they have more people ordering them. I ordered them the beginning of July.

You have to set up your account online at http://online.firstusa.com/ Once you login, you can select "Manage Rewards" and request they send certificates (usually in $10 denominations) to your home. It takes about two weeks to get the certificates. You can also call 800-300-8575 to redeem your rewards.

Your rewards account is updated about a month behind your actual credit card statement. So, if I were to purchase something today, I wouldn't see the reward dollars in my account until my October statement.

You can also get more info at http://online.firstusa.com/resources/marchrewardsguide.pdf

They did have double points if you spent $100 or more at the Disney Store between 7/1 and 8/9. That's the first point incentive I've seen.

They did have double points

I didn't see that offer. It is good to know there is hope for the future to have double promotions. (Too bad I can't find anything in the DS to spend any money on.)

I bought my AP vouchers a little bit earlier than I had originally planned to take advantage of the double points. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I just paid off my DVC loan payment of $8,600. (I refinanced my home) That gives me a $86 to spend on a great meal during our next trip in 2004.

(I actually charge everything to it and I have accummulated many reward $ to date. I'll probably stay at a deluxe resort a couple of nights next summer before our week DVC stay begins)

Remember: no annual fee!!
