disney costume dress sizes?

I am at disney now. I want to buy a gift for my niece I saw a great Merida dress today in the Mouse Gear shop at Epcot. What size should I buy to fit a girl around age 3-4????? I was thinking size xs 4/5. I would think that would be the age she would like to play in the dress. Please give me any advice, heading to DD tomorrow morning. Thanks!

My DD is 4 1/2 and 35lbs. I buy all of her Disney dresses in a size 5/6 so she can get a couple of years out of them. That being said, they are a little big on her and I make her wear a tank top under them when she wears them out (which is often because she is a "true princess" lol). For the cost I want to be sure she gets use out of them. I would think you would be perfect at a 3/4 (unless your niece is really on the larger size). Good luck!
Ps- your niece is super lucky. I know my daughter would love it if someone brought her back a Disney Dress
