July 28th, 2013 (Part 3) - UNDER-APPRECIATED ATTRACTION DAY
Once we finished, I wanted to hop back over to Main Street so we could take some pictures. We had to say hello to Walter first! Heyy Walter!
Of course, when we got there it started raining. So we hid under the overhang that's over the ice cream parlor. Once it subsided, we actually ran into @disney_frankie!! AHH how exciting! We had been planning on meeting up so we could say hi and we just oh so conveniently bumped into each other! It was perfect! She had some INCREDIBLE pins on her lanyard, some of them were even from Disneyland Paris! She was such a sweetheart and it was so great to meet her.
Then we went back to Tomorrowland!
UNDER-APPRECIATED ATTRACTION #6: THE CAROUSEL OF PROGRESS
We were going to go on some more Tomorrowland attractions, but all of the under-appreciated ones had really long lines. HOW IRONIC. We hung out at the dance party for a little bit just dancing and stuff, but then we had more stuff to do. MOVING RIGHT ALONG!
Then we went over to Adventureland!
UNDER APPRECIATED ATTRACTION #7 - THE ENCHANTED TIKI ROOM
Then it was time for the Enchanted Tiki Room! I would say that this attraction is definitely not awkward at all!! It does fall under the under-appreciated category though. Not by us fans... but by a lot of people who don't know the history! Thankfully though, we are huge fans. I was singing along with the entire show!! I think I know a majority of the words to the Enchanted Tiki Room. It's one of my proudest traits.
Oh Adventureland, how we love you.
Jungle, Jungle! Sorry but you're one of our most visited attractions so we couldn't ride today. We always appreciate you!!
What other theme park in the world would have flowers as gorgeous as this? Really though.
UNDER APPRECIATED ATTRACTION #8 - THE SWISS FAMILY TREEHOUSE
I swear I have never seen that attraction so crowded!
...And no, this is not sarcasm. It seriously was really crowded!
After that we walked out of Adventureland and saw that there was a rainbow right over Crystal Palace! Whenever I see a rainbow I take it as a sign for good things to come! This one was extremely beautiful, too.
While we were on the bridge, we were just talking and trying to figure out where to go next, when I got approached by two little girls. They said, extremely excited, "Hi, are you Jess? We read your trip reports!!!!" I have been approached in the parks several times, but I have never had anyone get this excited about meeting me. I felt like an actual celebrity!
They were SO cute. Their names were Rachel and Katie and we were all just so excited to meet each other! Their excitement was contagious! I asked them about their trip and they told me they have been following along on my report. Oh and not to mention, they're from England so they have the most beautiful accents. They were just so cute and so happy!! We all took a picture together. Meeting them made my day!
When they left, I could have cried. Those girls were proof that this trip report really has touched the lives of so many people. I couldn't feel more happy and more blessed to have the opportunity that I have had for the past six months. It really added to the whole emotional wrap up to this program. I can't believe how happy I made them. And as a result they made ME so happy. Making others happy is what it's all about, and I'm just so glad I was able to do that for them. I will never, ever forget those girls. They really and truly made my day.
