Disney Channel Games 2008???

I am going to get alot of people shooting at me for this so I will apologize in advance and I will throw some questions and ideas out there. I am doing this from memory so if facts are mixed up or names are wrong I am sorry.

Jimmar states 5000 people for WWF. Bracelets different times. I like the idea. Paying one price for a bracelet. Walk around and meet scheduled celebs. Good idea. What if joe jonas is schedule for 4pm and I am in line for joe jonas and his time is up. Do I miss his autograph? An example is in the parks I am in line for Dopey...1 person before me. Ohh dopeys time is up but dont worry in 5 minutes snow white will be out. Well I dont want snow white. I want dopey. Unfortunately time is of an essence. Like in the parks when the person before you takes 15 pictures of the same character and talks to them for 10 minutes. I know it is exciting to them but take the picture give a hug and get out. Not sure how that would work but I am asking Jimmar since there is experience there.

Next is crowd. As we know it gets pretty crowded there. I think it would be nice to have a more controled enviroment. No one getting squished, run over, elbowed or trampled. Thats why I like the fan fest for the smaller children. Preteen (but open to all). I goto many sports events and that is what the games were like chase down and do what you have to do to get who you want. I am not blaming anyone. It is human nature apparently. Like in bugs life or philharmagic in the parks. Too many people in one area, the door opens and everyone heards in fighting for a seat for some unknown reason, trampling little kids.

Now here is where the cannons fire...I think it would be a nice passholder perk. It would also keep out professional stalkers like ebay people. Even though we already got first for tickets for the concert a meet and greet just for us would be cool. Set up 8 to 11 for passholders and 1-4 for public or whatever. If it was just for passholders it would be a perk, crowd would not be as much (maybe) and it would be organized.

Set up...I like the idea of money for charity, How much could they really charge though. 25 bucks is cool. 50 bucks is steep but I would pay it anything else I would have to really think about. The money would be worth it knowing it goes to charity, will be able to get every celeb, and would be controlled. I think the tables should be set up as shows ex hannah montana table, wizards table etc. Start on one side of the room and work your way around and out. The panthers did a meet and greet like that it was smooth.

Just some thoughts, as always I love the enthusiam and thoughts that this board has and if anything else comes to mind I will post it here.

just to clear it up if it is open to everyone I am cool with that to. Just posting a thought.....keep up the great work and dont let it get personal...

I keep going back to thinking we need to know the reason Disney did not move forward with the Fan Fest this year.Just a random thought, but could the reason be that some of the DCG Stars simply did not want to participate or possibly the mandated daily school time figured into the decision not to move forward. If we only knew the reason,I think that would tell us if there is ANY hope,no matter the format,of a Fan Fest in the futre.:)

All of the Disney Mania promos and the DCGs promos were the same night as the red carpet at Epcot. I have pics of too many of them in the same clothes LOL

when you buy a wrist band you are guaranteed that you will get your pictures and autgraphs from all the disney stars that are on the list for the event. The wrist band would be limit to a amount for the days event. The stars would have break thought the day that is why the event would be a all day thing say staring from 9 am to 7 pm on a non tapping day and all money from that the day event would go to charity not just the wrist band money that is how you are able to keep the price down .

Wrist band are sold and limited at all fan fest show that is how you keep the promblems out.
wrist band should be sold to passholder first then after 10 day what is left sold to the public passholders should have the first chance to buy them and you limited them to 10 each passholder not house hold like they did with the concert the event could be held over two days one color wrist band on one day another on the next day that would also help keep crowds more quite. Plus evething else that could be sold during the event from food to shirts
This is how all event like this are done and they run great.

I love all of the ideas except the annual passholders idea. i live in arizona, and i am only a teenager. there is NO way i can get to disney atleast once a year. if i lived closer, than yes i would buy a season pass. I think as long as you buy a ticket to the parks you should be offered the wristbands. i would pay anything to get down to disney to meet my favorite disney channel stars!
:)

LMAO 10 each passholder... yeah that would keep the scalpers away... oh wait they WOULD be the scalpers because there is no reason that in a household of 6 people who all have annual passes that they would need SIXTY ... there are just so many holes in this theory... sorry.. but perhaps this way of thinking and passholder entitlement is what made them cancel the idea of it in the first place...

Ok I'm through discussing this topic... won't make another comment on it... and when my letter is submitted I'll PM those of you who are seriously interested in participating in an event that does not involve a passholder requirement or general admission for a gazillion people for $2.95

It had to be the same night - Demi's wearing the same hat! Interesting how they filmed it with a different background than the DC Games red carpet event.

I think they tend to make the most of the talent when they have them all in one place... they did promos for something else there too... keep watching for Jordan in that dress, Demi in that hat etc on upcoming promos...

Sorry if my post upset you. I too feel that 10 per person is excessive. But I get the idea. You cant ask for my opinion or input and then get mad at me for giving it to you. You asked for input we gave it to you and then you tear it up. I like the idea of a fanfest as I stated earlier. I also said I would go either way. You asked me how much I would pay. I told you. You asked for my input I gave it to you. I am serious about this and I am glad you choose to take this on. I hope that you can have some input in this event next year and maybe your letter can influence disney to do something. Thanks again for your time in this and hopefully it works for us all. Again I hope I did not upset you because, of course, that was not my intention.
Joe

ps i dont really want a gazillion people there either :)

I really do hope this is the end of this topic because it's really sucked the fun out of this thread.

Hi.
I think the fanfest idea is a great one!! :]
I know someone mentioned annual passes getting a special time.
One thing to add... if they do then I definitely thing that DVC members should too. Yeah, I'm biased because I am one, but it makes sense for Disney, too. Listen, if people with DVC points come to Disney to stay at their DVC resorts, or any other resort, they will be paying for food. I know AP pay for food too, but I assume more DVC people are non-FL residents, and more AP people are FL-residents who, if they so desired, could go and eat off-property.
Just my two cents. Please don't flame me!!:hippie:

I had no idea this was even happening we were in Disney and kept running the kids from the different shows. I was wondering what was going on and had to ask a cast member why they were all there . I am in the "all access" thing they were doing . I was outside of the TOT and ran I mean "RAN" into the twins from that show I think it is called Zack and Cody . I called my niece at home to tell her I was texting a picture to her moms phone of me and those boys . She was thrilled I was still trying to figure out who was who :)

I think we should just all discuss ideas like who we hope will be there and something else besides who should be allowed since that is what is causing problems!
haha

:)

i hope the camp rock cast, hannah montana cast, hsm cast, wowp cast, and more are there!

the number of 10 was just a number i put out there it could be 3 or 4 a passholder and yes pasholder do spend a lot of money on tickets and at the park they should get the perks. So do not say there are holes in this because there are not i am just trying to make it fair for everyone mostly the kids first. paying high prices to keep the crowds small is more of an entitlement because many family would not be able to pay high prices and that would not be right . You will make more money at a smaller prices with more fans who would be happy and that is what is all for right. Less money with higher prices becuse you will have less fans. and alot of disapointed kids. I am thinking about the kids first that could not pay high price to meet the dc stars they do come first not the dc stars or disney. it's all about the fans the kids.

For those people who are writing to Disney.. what address are you using? I have a letter in the rough draft stage.
I will put together some of the ideas here!
:)

In the end, Disney will do what they want to do and I think we will all appreciate it as we did this year. Free concert free admission free opportunities. Really you could not ask for more. I would like a fanfest no matter how they do it. If I can go I will if I cant I wont. I just hope they do it again next year and it is open to the public if it is here. My daughter had a blast.

I have never been to the disney channel games before, but by other people's stories, it seems like another amazing thing that disney does. I'm sure disney is already planning 2009's games... so we will see what happens!
:)

anyone have any links to trip reports with the game's included in it? I love reading stories about them!

as she refers to the week of the DC Games.

We had so much fun that week. I only wish my 9 year could have enjoyed it more, but she was feeling crummy.
