We're doing alot of 1st on our trip this time.

One is not renting a car and strictly relying on the Disney Bus Transportation.

We also need to rent 2 electric scooters to be delivered at our resort.
Any company recommendations ?

Also, how is it with taking the scooters onto the Disney Buses ?
Is it a hassle ?

We'll be staying at the CBR.

Yes, it is a hassle.

I'd try the disabilities board for suggestions for you on how to make life at WDW in a scooter easier. Traveling with one person needing a scooter is hard. Traveling with 2 will make it even more difficult.

I've thought about renting a "taxi van" to get from park to park with the scooters.

Has anyone tried that ?

I'm assuming that you've had a bad experience with scooters and DTS?

It is possible to use disney bus transportation with scooters. People do it all the time. The system is set up to accommadate scooters and wheelchairs. However, the operator need to be able to park in a small space. They will have to do this with people waiting to get on the bus. The people are sometimes not the most patient while they wait. Scooters also have to be loaded first, so they go to a different loading area - sometimes this "skips" them ahead of the regular line and that makes some of the people waiting angry. It can be uncomfortable to use the bus transportation for this reason. Also, buses can only hold two scooters - so you could face longer waits.

I use a scooter and because of this we rent a car - it is easier for me and I don't have to annoy the people, but it certainly isn't required

Thanks for the input.

Has anyone tried using taxi service with scooters ?

Not to simply get around Walt Disney World property. There are only about sixteen or seventeen wheelchair-equipped taxis in the Orlando area, and each can only accommodate one wheelchair or ECV.

The small number available, especially compared to the total number of cabs in the area, and in conjunction with Disney's own vast transportation system, makes using taxis to get from one place to another onsite much less than efficient.

Simply plan ahead. If you want to be at a park for rope drop, be at the bus stop together more than an hour before that park opens. If you can't both get on the first bus that comes, plan ahead: will you split up and meet up at/outside the destination park, or will you let one person behind you go first while you two wait for the next bus? Same thing for returning to the resort. Also, new/now being enforced policy: each Guest in a wheelchair/ecv can be joined at the bus's back entrance by up to five members of their party; any additional members of their party will have to get in the regular line and board the bus in turn.

Thanks for the taxi info.

Yes, we'd be willing to split up. And I think that out of courtesy to the those waiting before us, that the rest of the group can get in the basic line and take our turn.
I've learned alot on the boards here about how they handle the loading of EVC's.

We're also checking into renting a van. Might simplify coming and going.

thanks again
