Disney Billing CM - Merry Member Mixer

I have to give some serious props to Disney billing. We were at the Merry Member Mixer last Friday. We only used our debit card once - to buy the mixer pin. I had forgotten how much my husband said it cost, so I didn't give it another thought. I was doing the checkbook on Sunday and saw a charge at OKW Conch Flats that I didn't recognize. We have never been to OKW, hence never shopped at Conch Flats. I freaked and thought, perhaps our debit card number had been stolen at the Mixer. We both had our cards, so knew the cards hadn't been lost or stolen. I have heard of card reading scams and wondered if that was a possiblity??
Anyway, I called Disney Billing to find out if we could get any info on it. They have this awesome receipt system where they can look up any charge made with the card number. They were able to pinpoint where and when a purchase was made and then send it over to their AR dept to get a copy of the receipt to see exactly what was purchased. It turns out the debit card purchase was for....a mixer pin. LOL. He said that he found out that since the mixer was in a remote location, they borrowed registers that belonged to Conch Flats at OKW and that is why the charge showed up from there. PHEW! So, for anyone who goes to a remote location event, don't fret if you see a charge to your credit or debit card for someplace you know you haven't been.
