Disney Band ?

Heading for my first solo trip at the beginning of March. The last time I was at Disney World they still had cards for your tickets. Do I need a Magic Band or with the new app will everything be on my iPhone? I most likely will get the Magic band but just checking.

I haven't paid attention to all the details of the newest way to use your iPhone for ticket access (as I have a pretty old phone and don't generally like using my devices that much when at the park), but a magicband isn't necessary (although I personally love the ease of it). You can purchase a magicband and link it to your MDE account, or you can still get a ticket card, or you could use the app. The only post a few magicband options online anymore to purchase, but there will be a lot more for sale at the park, if you wanted to wait until you arrive.

I also second the ease of the magic band vs the phone. With just a tap of the wrist you can pay for things, open doors, etc. I mean, getting out your phone isn't hard, but the magic bands are just so easy.

To "piggyback" on your question: Do the vinyl overlays for MagicBands really work well? Or do they come off easily?

I love our decals we have used the magicbands in the water and over a dozen trips and they still look great. My DS11 the center part is coming off a little but most likely he picked at it.
Some designs don't use the center circle.

Should have used an orange band with my sons chip and dale but I went with what I had red. It was the first band I did so the next one was easier. It comes with two if you mess up or want two of the same design

Remember these are well used they looked better 18 months ago

I love using the magic band and truly try to leave my phone alone it does fast enough already.
