Disney Angels & The Last Man Standing

CS, I don't really know how many shots my camera will take. It depends on the quality setting and which card I have in it. I usually download photos frequently and burn them onto CDs. I'm just bad about buying the prints until I have a good batch.

Marsha, I've been scrapbooking for several years and love it. The only thing is that I have/take so many photos that I'm WAY behind. I have years worth of photos to put into albums, but it's a fun hobby. The 300+ shots will go into a photo box. Something to tackle this winter, I guess. Some of the pictures I ordered were from 2001.

I've had an idea for the autumn angel exchange. Now if I can figure out when I'd have time to get it together? Please remind us before the signup deadline, okay? I'm thinking I can work it out.

Stephanie, I love the "fill the cupboards" idea. I'd try to make a list of all the things she needs. Seems like I've seen those for brides planning their kitchen. Have you thought of registering at Target so she won't get a bunch of duplicates? You know, you could do a cute basket for her for Christmas with some things that she didn't get for her kitchen in it.

Hiya Angels and TLMS!

Sorry I haven't been around this weekend... the internet has not been working on my computer *grr!*

I'll do a catchup sometime tomorrow, too tired now... Also, I plan to do the Romania trip report tomorrow :)

Been Scrapbooking my Florida holiday most of the weekend and really enjoying it (my first scrapbook, well, kind of, long story!)... perhaps I'll scan a few pages in one day... I'm thinking it'll take a long time to finish!

Hope you are all well and safe and happy....

Cya,
Gaspode

Hi Guys!!!
Here is a picture of Meg taken last night..................

here's another shot of her...................

OMG Lars, Meg is gorgeous! Looks so grown up compared to Cedar Point. And her father ler her wear a strapless gown. Any pictures of Matt?

Stephanie, I think that shower sounds like a nice idea. Sometimes you just have the bend the norm to do the right thing. We had a grandmother shower once for an older coworker who was forever going to wedding and bridal showers. When she was going to be a grandmother for the first time, we had a shower for her to outfir her home.

I am now a Friend of Krispy Kreme too.

I like all these homecoming stories. I should have some next week.

Wow! Laura, Meg is beautiful. What a pretty dress. I can't tell if it is a deep purplely brown or black. She looked very nice, I'm glad you left her hair down, not too formal.

Carol, I am glad you are a friend now, too. I wonder tho if there is a 12 step program involved. Like the friends of Bill W, hi I'm Marsha and I am a kremeaholic......

So I won't feel left out with all the homecomings, I'll take a picture of DS whan he comes home on Wednesday, OK?

OK, I am looking for leopard/cheetah print towels. And some type of jungle animal cheapy pictures, got any idears? Target had the in front of the sink rug, but nothing else. BB&B has NOTHING, I was just there. I am going to rum to Ulta for nail polish, I will check K Mart that is across the street. Gotta get this done by Tuesday night, Or not! It's only the boy, so if it's got miss matched, he really doesn't even notice.

Off to see if I can find a bargain.

Steph, I do think that is a great idea!!! I love it!!!! I am sure that your mother would love it!!!! Have fun planning that party!

Merry, I have heard the same thing said from other people about scrapbooking. That they take so many pictures they are 'behind' I figure with the number I take that I shouldn't even bother to start... I'd be behind even before I'd begin ;) :p

Lars, Meg looks WONDERFUL!!!! So grown up looking!!! What a beautiful dress :)

Melissa, I forgot to say this yesterday... guess what I got in the mail? Thank you so much for the postcard from Romania!!! It is so cool! :goodvibes

Marsha good luck shopping for all that!

And Carol, I can't wait to hear about HC next week from you. I love hearing all the stories :)

Off to figure out dinner :)

Laura ~
Your DD is ADORABLE!! (Best keep her pic away from my DS!)

Stephanie ~
What a lovely idea...you could use Emeril's "BAM, let's kick it up a notch" saying as an intro to what type of party/theme it will be. And, I'm sure your mom will appreciate the wonderful thought. Wow, 6 years without my own kitchen ~ I'd go NUTS!! :crazy2:

Evening All!:D

Well, the party is over - time to DIS and relax before the Steeler game. Everything went well and we had a gorgeous day today. The kids were able to be outside and run out some energy. Shannon got some nice presents and just got done watching Barbie in Swan Lake. No puppies though.:( Maybe for Christmas or before. Diane - can you ship one of yours?!

E - I'm w/ you about Krispy Kreme's. I much prefer Dunkin' Donuts.

Lars - WOW for Meg! She looks beautiful. Hope they had a nice time.

Steph - that's a great idea for your Mom. i'm sure she will appreciate everything.

MP - i take a lot of regular pics still - guess i'm old fashioned. we have a digital on our video camera, but i always forget to use it.

Marsha - hope you had luck w/ your bargain shopping. sorry i can't help out w/ ideas. Did you pass that stone yet?

Gaspode, Carol and Kimmar:wave2:

....Lorraine!! Man-oh-man, it's pretty quiet on the "boards" tonight...

Meg looked beautiful and so grown up! Makes me jealous. Our homecoming dance is a jeans and t-shirt affair following the football game. Only the homecoming court dresses up. I didn't bother to take pictures, since DS went straight from his band uniform to a t-shirt for the dance. It was a tropical theme this year so he wore a Hawaiian print shirt. But I'll take some when he goes to the winter dance in December.

I use a 35 mm camera, too. I just like the fact that I can pick and choose with the digital. I find I take more photos and usually save all but the total rejects to a CD. But I only print the ones that I want to put into my scrapbook. The other advantage is that you are never out of film. You just have to remember to dump the pictures into your computer.

Krispy Kremes can't be beat when they are warm. Cold they are good, but it's not the same. To give them a fair chance you HAVE to at least microwave one if you can't get them hot.

Melissa, you have been bitten by the scrapbook bug? We'll have to compare some pages some time. Elaine, you should try it. It's loads of fun. My family never looked at photo albums before I started scrapping. Now they frequently get them out and read what I have journaled. I'm always behind, but that's okay. At least I know it's a hobby that will always be available to me. ;)

Glad to hear that the weather was good for the party. Sorry to hear there were no puppies. I still think you should check out the pound. They often have some real cuties there.

Hey gang! Just got back from a day at SB's house, and then went to the church Food and Fun Fest for a little while to help out. DH is still there helping to tear everything down.

We had a great time at Shannon's party today. She was just so thrilled with every single present she got. I kept asking "Where is the puppy?" and kept getting looks from SB's DH ;) :teeth:  I think he turned the video camera on me to show who kept spreading those nasty rumors about a puppy. Diane - ship one to my house and I'll sneak it over to Lorraine's house.

BTW, sorry to hear that the Twins lost today, Diane. Sorry Kimmar, I can't stand the Yankees!

Lars - Megan looks so beautiful! I love the dress on her. Let me know how longs she keeps up the "I hate boys" routine. I bet that's going to change real soon. Just tell Matt to sit on the front porch and clean his gun on a nightly basis! ;)

Stephanie, that's a wonderful idea for your mom. She deserves a special day after putting up with all of that for 6 years.

As part of our church's yearly Food and Fun Fest, we sell raffle tickets for a chance to win $1,000 based upon tonight's PA daily number. Well it just so happens that the ticket that matched tonight's daily number was not sold. You should have seen this one woman screaming at one of our church members that this was such a rip off that no one won, the church is just stealing money from people, it's like this every year, blah, blah, blah. I tried to talk with her about it but she just kept yelling back and wouldn't listen to anything I said. I told her not to come anymore if this is how she felt. She felt that we should have drawn a name from the tickets that were sold and give that person the $1,000. I said "Well what if we only sold 100 tickets? Should the church have to take a loss of $900?" Nothing we said would calm her down. Sheesh - it's a fundraiser for the church, lady!

Yikes - long post! :o

After all of that, I still have one more thing to add:

MP - we are in the Moraine Trails Council.

Kimmar, nope a hapless Pittsburgh Pirates fan! I just wanna know one thing - didn't Steinbrenner's mother ever teach him to share????? :duck:

...Did ya get my PM??? (what's WITH the "net" tonight??!!?!?!)

Well, my lame excuse for not catching up is wet nails :duck: so hi to all and I'll be headed to bed soon :) See y'all tomorrow :)

A quick hi from RI!

Internet has been funky and EB hasn't been feeling well. :(
She started this afternoon saying her throat hurt and she started a fever. There's no school tomorrow (Yom Kippur) but I'm working so she's going to hang out with Grandma. Matt's going to the Y for the day.

Laura, your Meg is beautiful....she really resembles you! I love seeing pictures of everyone's kids. Before I know it EB will be the one dressed up for a dance! :faint:

Sorry about the Twins Diane but.....
<font size=4 color="navy blue">Way to go Red Sox!!!!</font>

Hi everyone...hope to catch up tomorrow. :wave2:
