Disney and dying.

:rotfl: That totally cracked me up. LOL

I'm sure this thread is going to BLOW UP tomorrow with posters horrified that anyone would do such a thing, but I'm personally not seeing the big deal. Everything dies. There are diseased nasty animal carcasses and remains everywhere. It's dirt. :confused3 Everything goes back to the earth someway.
Now scattering remains on a ride or something is kind of dumb, especially after reading the pp's comment about forever resting in poop. LOL

Certain rides should be avoided, such as Space Mountain, I wouldn't really want to swallow someone''s cremated loved one whilst i'm screaming like a big kid.

You know Disney needs to run with this. I see a big wall like at epcot where people pay to have their name on there. WELL in this case being the name is a small case for the ashes and on the front it can read In Memory of Sgt Mickey a disney fan:rotfl:

Hi
Ive actually had to think about this alot lately Im pretty sick and in 2 wks im due to have major surgery on my head for the 3rd time, This time though its a bit more risky!
even though I have booked a holiday to Disney for september i booked because we wanted to surprise the boys after i recover from my Op,they have been so good tha last 2 years I have to sleep alot and be in hospital on and off,We have broken plans etc and the family has been through quite abit.

I also booked as if anything happened to me during the Op i wanted my Dh and mum to still take the boys on the trip as we have been a few times as a family and we have very happy memories there! We was married at the Disney pavillion and they have had Birthdays etc,
Well whilst at my last consultation and pre-op the consultant told me that I was resuscitated twice last Op and had i thought about a will!!
Im only 26 so NOPE i had not thought about a will exactly.......My wish is to be taken to my happy place the place that i had been to every yr as a child with my parents my dad who is now passed, the place i was Married etc, I now know that you cant actually have a memorial at Disney and be scattered exactly.... but its still my wish that they personally have a wake /ceromany at Disney aswell as having my funeral at home (DISNEY THEMED) im greedy like that:rotfl2:I know at home i have choosen a Balloon release as my boys love balloons and it will be something they can do.I know some people say its not right to do that at Disney but each to their own so i think thats a idea we may roll with.

We are still thinking of what else exactly i would have and of course Im hoping and praying I dont actually have to use the plans any time soon!

So sorry to hear of your medical issues. I hope and pray you'll be fine and able to accompany your family to Disney as planned.:flower3:

They do switch out the water for IASW, and the moat on occasion too, so it wouldn't be a 'final resting spot'. A water treatment filter system would add your remains to the sludge (basically human waste products) and you'd be resting in poop for all of eternity.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I used to joke about cremating me and scattering my ashes in the Haunted Mansion. Who would notice, right?:rotfl: But I was just kidding. Can you imagine if everyone who had a notion to spread ashes at Disney actually did it? :scared1:

I'm guessing only the first will happen, then there will be an arrest and a ban to never step foot on WDW property. At least, I hope there's an arrest - it's creepy to think people are illegally spreading remains in inappropriate places.

:rotfl2: They're just ashes. Not whole organs.

Do you let your kids swim in a pool? You are aware that a pool is nothing more than a toilet/bath tub right?

Well our pool is tested every hour and the kiddie pool has very strict rules - that are actually enforced- about children that are in diapers. (darn health codes) Also they will close the pool if there is a bio situation and won't open it again until they shock it overnight. (there are those pesky health codes again!) So most parents are very vigilant with their and other kids because we don't want to leave the pool.

We also swim in the ocean except if there are bio hazard alerts which thankfully have been few and far between lately. Again thanks to those health codes.

Wow so you mean there are usually reasons behind regulations designed to protect public health. Who would have thought.

Ha ha! me too! (hopefully they can squeeze 3 out of me so all the kids get a necklace LOL)

:thumbsup2

Well i was thinking that I could be a huge diamond engagement ring!!then I could be given to Dh next wife so that I can keep an eye on her and make sure she behaves:lmao:

On a serious note this has actually been discussed with my Dh over the last few wks as I have had to put my will together before my Major Op  and this is what I came up with aswell as Dh taking the boys on our planned family trip and having a Balloon release!!

Lol....you're in a bit of denial. Those little swimmers diapers are basically to keep the poop from floating to the surface. Its in the pool but you might be the out of sight out of mind kind of person. Most kids pee in the pool and most people don't shower before they go in the pool. That's a lot of sweaty buttcracks!!! Oh and I love the occasional floating band-aid. Yummy!

actually little swimmers do not meet the health code. They are not permitted unless you also wear plastic/rubber pants. And there is a reason the water in chlorinated.

Damn those pesky health codes. I can't imagine why someone would want to knowingly violate them. Especially since they are in place to prevent the spread of disease.

I can see you like to argue but I would like to believe that if someone near and dear to your heart asked you to spread their ashes somewhere at Disney you wouldnt tell them no.

Ashes... a biohazard? Only if you're snorting them, friend. It's just carbon with a dash of trace minerals. It's definitely, decidedly, deceasedly sterile at that point. Sheesh.
