Disney 65 episode rule

personally, i think sixty-five is way too many episodes for some disney shows.

I actually did, too.
I was watching Disney Channel some day this week and I heard that they're still making new episodes of Life with Derek. I don't really like that show all that much.

cancelled shows by the disney 65 episode rule are as followed:

The Famous Jett Jackson (1998-2001)
Bug Juice (1998-2001)
So Weird (1999-2001)
The Jersey (1999-2003)
Even Stevens (2000-2003)
In a Heartbeat (2000-2001)
Totally Circus (2000)
Lizzie McGuire (2001-2004)
The Proud Family (2001-2005)
Totally Hoops (2001)
Kim Possible (2002-2007)
Totally in Tune (2002)
That's So Raven (2003-2007)
Lilo & Stitch: The Series (2003-2006)
Dave the Barbarian (2004-2005)
Phil of the Future (2004-2006)
Brandy & Mr. Whiskers (2004-2006)
American Dragon: Jake Long (2005-2007)
The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (2005-2008)
The Buzz on Maggie (2005-2006)

Some of these went longer then 65 episodes

i HATE that show .
ahahha .

but seriously , even though we get sad the shows are over.. is it REALLY that big of a deal to protest over ?

honestly, TV shows being taken off the air is not our countries biggest problem !

use your energy for more important things, like saving the rainforest , not TV .

yup this rule needs to be gone
it's rather stupid
American Dragon used to be one of my favorite shows XD
and the suite life

Well i agree, i Love american dragon, Suite life, Kim possible, Recess and fillmore.

The good thing about all of them that they are not gender related. so a boy or a girl, let's say, could watch kim possible as it intergrates both boy and girl material, i should know, as i am a boy.

I read there coming out with a new series of that but there on a boat or something and Ashley Tisdale isn't in it but would make guest appearances.

Thats So Raven was the first show to go past 65. Then when they ended it, they made a spin-off [which I heard actually got cancelled earlier then the 65].

Hannah Montana isn't supposed to max the 65 but you never know.
The Suite Life will have spin-off. The Suite Life on Deck.

Honestly, I think the 65 episode is a good rule. Kids DO actually get bored of some shows, and the actors don't usually want to be on them that long. So I think it works out.

HEY!
The girl in Life with Derek, hr family owns a car business here. :D
I went to a hockey game and she walked right past me :p

Anyways. I LOVED Dave the Barbarian..

Hate to burst your bubble, but I looked up some stuff on my own.

Kim Possible: 87 episodes
That's So Raven: 100 episodes
In A Heartbeat: 21 episodes
Bug Juice: 60 episodes (to the best of my knowledge)
Totally Circus: 14 episodes
The Proud Family: 53 episodes
Totally Hoops: 16 episodes
Totally In Tune: 10 episodes
Dave the Barbarian: 22 episodes
Phil of the Future: 43 episodes
Brandy & Mr. Whiskers: 39 episodes
American Dragon: Jake Long: 52 episodes
The Suite Life of Zach and Cody: 88 episodes
The Buzz on Maggie: 21 episodes

None of those fall into the "65 episode rule" category. I'd say that any show with 20 episodes or less just wasn't popular and with more than 70 episodes, it probably ran it's course as a kid's/young teen's show. Anywhere inbetween, well, they probably got boring fast. Yes, there are several shows on that list cancelled at 65, but that's a pretty reasonable mark for a lot of shows these days. It's a big accomplishment to make 100 shows and an even bigger one to reach 200. 65 episodes is usually the base contract and producers and channels decide from there whether to produce more. It's all about ratings these days.

I know he said this a while back, but I have to agree with him. What is Totally in Tune? Some of those I had never even heard of!!! Ones I've bolded are ones that are just boring and stupid to me! (No offense to anyone who likes them ;))

Also, you must live in the UK, because Radio Disney and Toon Disney are airing fine here in the US. No offense, but if I was even in the UK, Toon Disney isn't a very big priority of mine. I like live actors better. Radio Disney is pretty good though, but it hasn't shut down here in the states.

NOTE: Everything said in this paragraph or two is all my opinion. Please nobody take offense to what I just said. Thank You.

Oh no, please no. No no no no no. I will hunt down the monsters who started that and...do something bad...if it goes that far!!

Not to mention I'll break the TV.

Well, a lot of the actors and Creators of the shows want to carry on but they cannot because of the Executives! Why 65? (Breaks down in tears). why not 150... or 200!!!

well, just so you know...

UK:

Toon Disney... Gone
Radio disney... Gone

Also, well totally in tune:

Totally in Tune was a reality series that aired on Disney Channel. The series focuses around eight students who attended Alexander Hamilton High School Academy of Music, in Los Angeles, California. The series dealt with many trials and tribulations of the students in and outside of the academy. During October to December 2006, Disney Channel aired 7 minute-minisodes of Totally in Tune on DisneyChannel.com. The series originally aired from June 23, 2002 to August 18, 2002.

Well, i think Quote "June 23, 2002 to August 18, 2002" Thats a crap and short run

I know he said this a while back, but I have to agree with him. What is Totally in Tune? Some of those I had never even heard of!!! Ones I've bolded are ones that are just boring and stupid to me! (No offense to anyone who likes them ;))

Radio Disney didn't catch on over here. Was only on the TV or on the internet. Toon Disney was changed to Disney's Cinemagic which, imo, is much better.
