It's official - I'm on my way to Disneyland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So excited - this will be my first Disneyland trip. I've been getting much more into classic Disney, and I am just beside myself for this trip!

Going to book the flight this week. Looking at Desert Resort or Ramada Plaza for the hotel - suggestions are welcome! I'm actually feeling a bit nervous - this will be the first time I've ever taken a vacation by myself. So I am definitely down for a DisMeet.

Now to try and find that sweet D23 Expo signature sign....

Finally confirmed! Stovall's BW, 8/16 - 8/22. Can't wait to meet all of you - I hope some of you will be willing to go through the horrors of a wine tasting at Sonoma Terrace and Wine Country Trattoria with me.

Me too! It is also my first DL trip, so we are going to DL before the Expo.

Can't wait -- need to read up on DL, plus need to figure out all the cool eating places.

I got a chuckle out of that - I have been checking out the food as well! You'd think I'd be more concerned about the attractions, but it's all about the food, right?

So, what are everyone's suggestions for where to meet? I've been hearing awesome things about the new tiki place at Disneyland Hotel, but apparently the waits have been pretty long.

Any of you repeat visitors have ideas?

Once they release a schedule, I'll make a poll...the better places to meet during the Expo will be at the Marriott, Hilton or Convention Center. The die hards will not want to leave the Expo area on Expo days. DLH is a good 15-20 minute walk.

Perhaps we could meet the evening/night before the expo starts somewhere at the DLR and maybe another time at the expo, like a Saturday night?

I was sort of hoping that we could get together Thursday night and some of the people who toured the show floor courtesy of their Sorcerer's passes would give us a head's up...

I will be at the DL Hotel Aug 14-21 and attending the D23 Expo.

I'm staying at the BW Stovall the 18th to the 22nd.
I'd love to do a Thursday night meet up, assuming I'm in town soon enough.

Myself, DH and DS (3) will be attending the expo on Friday and Saturday. We're staying at the Disneyland Hotel and going into the parks on Thursday, Sunday and Monday.
I can't wait! This is our 1st trip West! I'm a WDW expert, been almost every year of my life. I'm super stoked to see DL and to see the Expo.
Count us in for a meet!

I'd like to have a meet up too. I'd be happy to shake it up with fellow D23 peeps. I've never been to California either. I'd also love to go to the new tiki bar thing too! I'm game for a wait because who knows when, if ever, I'd be able to go back? I'll be in town with my sister from August 17th through the 26th

I can't believe we are only less than a month and a half until the 2nd ever D23 Expo. Can't wait till we get get closer to the Expo and meet some DISers.

I forgot to say that I will be staying at BW Stovall's on Aug 18 - 22.
