Sure, but also most of these guarantee rates are still really expensive. It's like
DCL doesn't yet want to admit that they're overpriced, so they're keeping base prices the same or even higher while increasingly offering GTY cabins. I think this strategy has some limits, because there are only so many people who can book last-minute GTY cabins, and these people are typically all Floridians or from other nearby states. There's only so much demand even with lower GTY prices. I think DCL would do better to continue to build their customer pipeline and that ultimately might mean lower across-the-board pricing, at least until there's a change in their micro-econ situation (i.e. until their total market catches up with all their new supply).
