hi chele, i saw a bunch on amazon.com i really like the UG for WDW so ill probably end up with that first for DL then add to the collection. Sorry the barnes n noble by you is so bad. Oh and I would love to see the other disneyland web sites you have links to

Not a problem I will put them on the thread today. I don't recommend the Birnbaum guide to me it is kind of worthless. I get it every year for some unknown reason. The Disneyland Passporter is really good. That is how I found Disboards.

I was wondering about OB and LeeLee myself. Sharky.....

cool thanks :) Yeah the Birnbaum guide for WDW sucked. I got it last year and got WAY more info out of my UG and Passporter for sure. I found that the UG had more info than the Passporter though. But that was just for WDW I'll have to take a look at the one for DisneyLand. It will probab ly tell me more things than the one for WDW did since I've never been there.

I'm not sure about LeeLee but I think OB is probably just busy. I saw her on Yahoo yesterday but didn't say anything to her figuring she didn't have time to talk. OB and LeeLee....come out come out wherever you are!!

I found that the UG had more info about parks I didn't care about like Universal and Knott's Berryfarm. Although I do recommend Knott's for someone who likes the roller coasters.

Birnbaum is kind of a Disney fluff piece. I found that it has great info about the onsite hotels but most of that info you can find on the Disneyland website.

gotcha, I don't know about any of them so I'll at least read that stuff. I'm not sure what all we'll want to do out there so I want to know all that is available. I love roller coasters but chris does not.

Okay here is a start. For your dining pleasure and just because.

Here is one about Disneyland.

And another.

That should get you started.:goodvibes

SWEET thanks Chele! I'm hoping we can bump up our 2010 trip to 2009 instead. It all depends on how money works out next year but we might be able to swing it.

just heard from Cheri. Her and Mike are at the airport waiting on their flight.

Ooh how about around May 2 and May 3? I know I can talk Scotty into then because he suggested it.:goodvibes Knott's has a section that is based on the old west so that is fun. I used to really enjoy the roller coasters but Scotty will endure them for me. If you do go to Knott's Mrs. Knott's fried chicken is a must have.

Oh I'd love to but it'd have to be more around christmas time for us so we can use our bday money and xmas money to pay for everything. Thanks for the tips about Knott's.

I think they did. She said she doesn't want to go home

I love the beginning of December at Disneyland. It is slow and so pretty. That way you can see the Haunted Mansion Holiday which I think is just great.

thats good to hear. I figured the slow times would be about the same as WDW. Is the Haunted mansion there always Nightmare Before Christmas themed or is it like the one at WDW the rest of the year and just nightmare before christmas for christmas?

It is Nightmare Before Christmas from like the middle of September until January. I have never been to WDW but I have a friend who has been to both and she told me that our Pirates and our Haunted Mansion are different.

oh wow that is very cool! I never knew that. I was confused since I saw pictures of it as nightmare before christmas themed. Hmmm, I wonder how different they are. I can't wait to see. Y'alls it's a small world is different too. Looks like disneyland goes a lot more out there for christmas than wdw does.

When we went in December of 2005 I was amazed at just how holiday stuff they have. They even have Reindeer at Woody's Round up. There are places to decorate cookies and they have hot choclate you can drink during the parade. They make it snow. It's all very festive. The HM holiday is very silly and campy like the movie.

oh that sounds just wonderful!! I really can't wait now!! If you were me and wanted to see LA as well while you were there would you just stay at the disney hotel the whole time and travel to LA from there each day or would you do the package they offer with a hotel in LA and leave disney all together? My thought is to just stay at the disney hotel the whole time and rent a car part of the time to go back and forth so we can still go to the parks if we get bored with the LA stuff or in the evenings and also so we can still eat in the parks and such if we wanted to but I didn't knowhow far away LA was from Disneyland. I know I still have a ton of time to plan but never too early. Hope I'm not bombarding you with questions LOL

No I love talking about Disneyland and I never get tired of it. I would stay at Disneyland and drive. Mind you any drive down there is always an adventure. But I find the whole stay in both places kind of expensive, the hotels closer to Disneyland are cheaper and I like being closer to the action.

I would definitely visit Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive. I have only been once because growing up my parents didn't care about those things and Scotty and I are more adventuresome than they were. There is a Disney Malt Shoppe in Hollywood too. We haven't visited it yet but plan on it. And Richard Simmons has an exercise studio in Beverly Hills you can visit too.

Okay good :) Thanks for the advice. I'm glad we will be able to drive to LA from Disneyland. I am like you and want to be able to stay near the action if we decide we want to go back to a park or if the christmas party is on a certain day or such. I am SO going to the Disney Soda Fountain. They have the BEST disney pins there!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: I'm all about visiting Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive for sure. Doesn't the Price Is Right film out there? We would like to do that too. And if the Late Show stays out there we'd love to go to a taping of that too since Conan O'Brian is going to be taking over for Leno next year. It will be an AWESOME trip!!!:hyper: :bitelip: :hyper: :bitelip: :hyper: :bitelip: :hyper:

From what I hear getting in to the Price is Right is hard. I don't know much about the Late Show. I want to see Ellen. If you really want to get excited visit youtube and watch Disneyland videos. That will do it for sure. I have a favorite website I visit for pictures if you are interested in it.
