OK... so you have free lodging due to DVC and free tickets due to AP...yes, I can see why this is such a tough decision! Wish we all had it so rough! :rotfl2: Go and enjoy! You won't get many opportunities to do that sort of thing with Olivia.

Jackie... I love those pics! Faith has amazing eyes.

Well, the hair is short, but not as bad as I had feared. The girl was able to blend it a little to keep some length, so it barely brushes her shoulders.

Her hair came out so cute in the end :)How does she feel about her short hair now?

Hello Friends

I need your advice

I have missed Disney World so much since we came home, so started searching for another trip, but June is so far away ...

So Olivia has half term holiday for a week at the end of October and we have DVC points to use ....

But John is not allowed any time off until June, so it would just be Olivia and me and I feel really guilty.

What do you think?

Sucks to be John :rotfl: ;)

I'm going to go against the grain, I like the first picture of Faith (I'm a sucker for when kids have their shoulders up when they are shy :) )

Kari- glad they were able to fix up Avery's hair so it doens't look like she lost too much

Hey! Sucks to be me! Rob left about 40 minutes ago with the kids headed for the Adirondacks. I'm all alone until Thursday night. I do have some things planned but it's going to be very lonely nearing bedtime here as that is when I am so used to their routines and tucking them in...:sad1:

Yes, Faith was a little shy when meeting characters, but she loved it though. :)

So you couldnt convince your parents to watch the dog?:confused3 You will survive, we will be around to chat with you. Its hard when the kids arent in bed their usual place at bedtime. Heck, I had a hard time when my almost 13 yr old was at boyscout camp last week, and gone for 5 whole nights:sad2:

Okay, so I am truly a stalker and followed you guys over here from a couple of trip reports. Sorry, couldn't help myself. :rolleyes1

I think Avery's hair looks great! She didn't do so bad after all.

Actually, my dad did offer to watch Jake for 1 night but that would mean that I would have to drive separately. Plus, once I got my mind set on getting other things done, I thought I can handle this.

Welcome new Stalker!!! There is always room for another Stalker here. We are a chatty bunch so make sure you keep up!

He offered for one night only? :confused3 How many nights are they gone in total? Doesn't sound like that was any type of "offer"! :sad2:

That's why I'm glad I can send Mocha to the "Inn" now, but I know once they get to be "seniors" that's not so easy.

Sometimes Dana asks if we can find a "pet friendly" hotel, but that always makes me nervous.. Can you imagine a maid coming in and the dog goes berserk, or runs out of the room? Or damages the room because he is in unfamilar surroundings? Then, I get totally skeeved and think - if they allow pets - what OTHER pets have been in THIS ROOM?!
That's when I stop the conversation and say, "Mocha's very happy at the "Inn"! He's safe, among friends, and he comes home clean and neat!" (we have him groomed the day we pick him up each time!)

Try to think of it as a "mini-vacation" for you ... sit on your pretty deck with a "beverage of choice", read a book, write a letter, do your nails, better yet - go HAVE your nails DONE, SLEEP, all those things you never have time for because you are being wife, mother, taxi driver, chief bottle washer! :goodvibes

Renée

Jessi... normally I have a real problem with "outsiders" :snooty: but since you like Avery's hair... :welcome:

Renee... I'm with you! If I see pet friendly, I avoid the hotel at all costs! I get to thinking about fleas and such. And you know most hotels hardly clean the carpets to begin with... but pet stains...:scared: (insert DM's puking smiley here!)

DM... enjoy your time alone. Sleep late, go out to lunch and a matinee, etc. Or you could mope around the house in full visibility of your "next door neighbors" and let the guilt work for you in the future!

Good things about me being alone:

1. I'm able to DIS without guilt today.

2. I'm going shopping with my mom either tonight or tomorrow night for a new outfit for my brother's wedding.

3. I can get any last minute party favors for my boys' combined friends birthday party this Saturday without having to drag anyone with me.

4. I can DIS without guilt tomorrow.

5. I can sleep in as late as I want.

6. I can maybe go to lunch with my brother at his favorite pizza place.

7. I can DIS without guilt Thursday during the day. :rotfl:

Then the family will be returning Thursday evening. On Friday, we plan on going to a matinee to see Ratatouille.

And why did you want to go along with them, anyway?! :confused3
Just kidding! :goodvibes
Sounds like you have a good "plan"! Enjoy! And, don't worry, they will be home before you know it! (absence makes the heart grow fonder - they will appreciate you more when they return home!! :grouphug: )

The drive from our home to the Adirondacks is just over 2 hours. They are staying on Fourth Lake which is just past Old Forge. Rob called me at 1 pm and said they made up there but Brookie threw up just as they were nearing the cabins. He said it was all over herself and the floor. (Rob had just cleaned out the entire van yesterday.) She was then saying that she wanted to go home. I even heard her in the background saying she wants to go home. I told Rob to see how it goes through the night and if she still wants to go home then I would meet them halfway and bring her back home. I think once she goes down to the beach and starts playing around she will like it.

Poor Brookie! Avery gets carsick, too... no fun. :sad2: I bet she'll be feeling better in a bit. Once she gets busy with her brothers... she'll forget all about you! :rolleyes1

Brookie has never been car sick. I think it's just because she's not with me. I am very hard to forget, don't you think?

Alec told Rob that he better take his phone because he wants to call me every night! That's my boy!

Thanks for the nice warm welcome!
Oh, don't mention it! No, really... don't mention it! ;)
Hello?! She just mentioned it!
