OK, with the exception of a couple of pairs of blue jean shorts & a couple more pairs of socks Alyssa is packed...she asked what I was packing for and I told her the beach. Now, I can work on my clothes tomorrow night...wooohoo!!! I feel better having something packed. I may work on the toiletries before I go to sleep.

Xanax time! Ok, as I have already posted, I am a little freaked out about potentially large crowds during our trip, now to amp up my anxiety, Chris calls me yesterday and says " would it be possible to postpone our trip?" Uh, NO! You see, he is putting in a pool, and the company he ordered the pool kit from is runing way behind on their deliveries, and now he only has 9 days to get the pool in the ground before we leave and the kit still isn't here yet!:scared1:
Well, I told him he'll have to work like HE- - to get it in before we leave, cuz we aren't postponing . Needless to say, I am on the brink of a meltdown and may have to break out the Xanax at any moment. He says he feels pretty sure that he can get it done if it arrives in the next day or two. The hole is already dug, so he's done all he can do for now.:rolleyes1 Now we just have to wait!

The worst part of all of this is, I am in single digits and would really like to celebrate, but with all of the tension around here due to the pool fiasco, I can't even be excited about it. Everytime the boys and I mention how close our trip is getting, Chris cringes, because it reminds him of how little time he has to finish.:sad2:

So when do you plan on telling them again?

CK- I'm sorry all of this drama is going on right before your trip! I know it will all work out for you... You've done too much planning for it not to. No rescheduling!!!!! It will work out.

Kanga, what a trophy, great pic too.

Mom made to Al with the car overheating once, so there is defently something wrong with the car. She should be leaving now to head on home to La, again she will be taking it slow.

DM- I'm a people watcher and I listen to what is going on around me. You do have a slight accent , it is barely noticeable. No,it is not nasally.

Ck- just relax, breath in , breath out.

On, yea. My Grandmother once told me this. If you get rid of all of your childrens baby clothes, you will become pregant again. So just to be on the safe side I keep some of their baby blankets, glass baby bottles, and burp rags(which I used as dust rags.). But got rid of everything else.

Here is a number for WDW weather if anyone wants it.1-407-824-4104

 I always say the same thing! Wynn gets mad that I have maternity clothes stored (we have NO storage, and he wants to get rid of them for the space!) I always tel him if he wants to guarantee an accidental pregnancy, go ahead and take them to good will. We still have the box... :rotfl: I also have "special" baby clothes that I saved, and the baby gear (exersaucer, swing, etc) that I pull out whenever I get a baby to keep.

So when do you plan on telling them again?

Since we are leaving on our anniversary we are going to tell them that we are all going on a little trip to the beach for our anniversary. Then when we get to I-10 I'm going to say "can we just turn left and go see Mickey?" DH is going to say no and go passed the on ramp...then he is going to say "oh I guess so" & turn around & get on I-10. This is all assuming that they will still be awake 3 hours after we leave. If they are asleep we will just quietly get on 10 and see how far we can make it before they realize it. I'm getting sooo excited!!

I'm glad she made it here without too many problems. I will pray that she makes it back to LA safely.

Wendy - I am about to pm you my email address. I would love to have your planning info. DH, Amanda & I all do the thrill rides...Alyssa is too little to do most of them but we will manage....she is almost 40" so we are hoping she can go on some of the more tame thrill rides this time :rotfl:

I do know how you feel. I haven't even thought much about our trip the past few days & that's a shocker for me.

I am getting so nervous that we are leaving in 12 days. In 11 days people are storming my house. And in about 20 days I have four new people living with me! Ahhhhh!

It has been a lot easier to get things done without the dog here though.

Well, I better get some cleaning done.

DM, you do not have an accent.
Thank you....:goodvibes

DM - We've held things for people at yard sales and they have never come back too...but luckily we have been able to sell them to someone else. Oh, and I'm a southern girl so yes, you do have an accent :)
Only because you're a southerner I will let it slide...

Crazy K & DM - I'm worried about the crowds too but the best part is we will be at Disney!! Oh, I got me some Croc flops today (Charcoal & Cotton Candy Athens) so can I join your club now?
Welcome to the official Crocs Flops Club!

DM -what are they talking about - you DO NOT have an accent:confused3 ... as a matter of fact you sound alot like me.... (bad singing and all:lmao: )
Exactly, except for the bad singing. My voice is so pretty! :rolleyes1

I think that's all I used. And if you were just bustin my chops about the abbreviations... YOU SUCK!! :rotfl2: LOL? :confused3 :rolleyes1
Said ever so elegantly from Miss Manners! :lmao:

SunL- Maddie's doing fine. Actually, I think she hurt her arm. She's limping tonight. I think she must have jumped off the bed--- she's used to having carpet under there, but now that it's wood, she slips when she jumps. It's got me nervous, but I suppose I'll just wait and see how she is tomorrow. She's starting to get used to the house though- it's a bit of an adjustment for her, but she'll be fine!!
Maybe try some longer throw rugs for each side of your bed.

Xanax time!!
Okay...I hope things work out. I have had moments of pure freaking out before a trip. Back in 2003 Rob had to fly down solo because of his job. We all left first thing in the morning and he came in late the same night. It was strange not being with him at first but it was only a day for us.

DM- I'm a people watcher and I listen to what is going on around me. You do have a slight accent , it is barely noticeable. No,it is not nasally.
Like whatEVER! :rotfl: Now I'm testing out my Valley Girl accent!

I only saved a few special outfits and some afgans that my grandmother crocheted for my babies. I had my good old OB-GYN take care of the more babies dilemna! :thumbsup2 Tubes are ligated!!!

:rotfl2: When I first looked at this, I thought he was wearing a Team Focker Watch lanyard!

I hate to be negative, because I know we will have a good time no matter what, but I am really starting to freak out about how crowded it will likely be.

I am with you on the freaking about crowds! I've been obsessing the last 2 days about touring plans and stuff. I've got MGM and AK down! 2 more to go...

Sonya,

We have really never waited more than 45 minutes for ANYTHING using TGM plans. And we travel during spring break, during the summer, during Presidents week.... I really think following his best parks and his plan works... we have been to WDW about 15 times... and used TGM about 11 - wouldn't travel without him!!!!

This is SO GOOD to hear! I've been going crazy on TGM reading and making plans. I really hope this will work, AND I really hope I can get DH on board! He really likes to sleep in. :sad2:

Oh, I'm so sorry about all this stress! Everything will work out, just think positively! Oh, and if the Xanax doesn't work for you, I've got some Valium I'd be willing to share! :rotfl:

What a cool plan! I would love to do that, but I could never keep my mouth shut. I need to talk Disney non-stop!

Oh my goodness. how stressful..just what one needs before a trip. I hope things work out smoothly for you and you are back being excited about mickey once again :)

For those in single digits..what are your last minute details you need to take care of??

We are leaving early Saturday morning. My husband thinks we will be leaving at 5am:confused3 Early morning is really no problem, but things never run smoothly. My husband loves to wait to the last minute to do stuff. He thinks hes such an expert at things, then when it doesnt happen smoothly it tacks on extra time.. so we shall see...

What I accomplished yesterday. I got my dogs city license tags. My dogs are ALWAYS up to date on shots no problem. But, normally just dont always get them a city license, which is the law here.:confused3 Its only 2$ but geez, I just dont think about it. I only do it when we go on vacation as "just in case" they get out when I m not here.

I got my parents there Mother and Fathers day gift(Yes I know Mothers day is past), but I am giving it to them on Sunday when we see them both.

We did get the kids new socks and underwear, and my son some new shorts. The kid only had like 2 pair that fit him...I really need to go through my shorts supply...ugh I just worry about everybody else first.
We did stuck up snacks at Sams this weekend, and bottles of water etc..Thats all done
WHat is left to do.. go to the bank and withdrawk my vacation money:banana: ,
Wash all the clothes, makes packing and sorting so much easier. Start packing of course.
Friday night have to take my 2 dogs to the petsitters house..I was in a state of panic for a bit about finding somebody to take my dogs, I literally almost canceled this trip.. Really I did. I just cant bring myself to board my dogs in a kennel:sad2: All worked out in the end. Sometime on Friday will have to bring my foster dog to where she needs to go.

Besides cleaning my house... there is still a whole lot to do;)

Thanks everyone, a little good news. Chris just got off the phone with the company and they warehouse in GA has it but said it wouldn't be here for 2 or 3 more days. Luckily we are only about 3 and a half hours from where it is, so he is going 1st thing in the morning to pick it up so he can start assembling it by late tomorrow afternoon. This will hopefully keep in on schedule for finishing before the trip. If all goes as scheduled we will have a few days to spare, if not we should still be ok since he will have enough done that his helpers can finish when we are gone!

I'll have to answer your question tomorrow when I'm in the single digits! :lmao:

Our town requires a license that costs $5 every year. I usually forget about it and renew it late.

Things will work out! See? Now stop worrying about at least 1 thing!
