CrazyK--- I love the cheap makeup--- Depending on what it is, it works great. There are a few select products that I use from other better brands, but I use such a mix of everything!

So, we didn't get home until 1 am-ish and I slept in until 10:15 am - unheard of here! I will try to post a pic or 2 a little bit later in the day. I have to get ready and I've been very lazy...

As Mandy said earlier, a tag is a "saying" of sorts under your name that the "tag fairy" (moderator) leaves.


I used to only buy either Lancome or Lauder but then I decided to go ahead and try some cheaper brands. I love the Cover Girl Fantastic Lash waterproof mascara. Since my lashes are straight, this mascara will keep the curl in all day. I have found that I am pretty happy now with the "cheapie" things. It took some trial and errors though to find the right ones - and I'm still working on a blush that I like.

I guess I'm a "makeup snob". LOL Except for the Great Lash mascara, I have to buy the "fancy stuff"... guess I've been brainwashed to believe I'll look better. LOL I don't wear a lot of it, so it lasts long.... but I find that it stays on better, especially the shadows and blush. The cheaper brands come right off on me. Lancome makes a neat blush that is a mousse, but you put it on with a brush. It lasts all day and has some great shades. I usually wait until Bloomingdales is running a "give away", then I buy what I need.

They can't say. The results of the CT were basically to get measurements. They are doing an "experimental procedure". So far, there has been two neonates who have had this done (with good results) and one older child (with good results). They have just started on another older kid but they don't know if it will work for him/her. We would be making a leap of faith here but pretty much any procedure done on him would be experimental as his condition is so rare in kids his age (they are usually corrected as neonates or die). Anyways, we go in for another opinion on the 15th with another surgery to see what her approach would be and her experience. Then we may need to go get more opinions with other doctors who may have experience with one or two other kids using a different procedure. So, really, we don't know anything. LOL

So I went to bed at 4am and was up at 7am. I'm ready to throttle the kids cuz I'm so tired. I need a vacation! How many more days?!?!

Wendy - What is the name of his condition?
I know how difficult it is to have a child with medical problems, after watching my sister go through all she does with my niece. The ups and downs are so heartbreaking. I pray that you find the right doctor and the right procedure. That's all you can do, right?

Cold day for that field trip. Hopefully it won't be too windy, and you can go out on the bridge.

As for make-up, I only wear it when going out for dinner and such. Then I use foundation, lipstick, blush and mascara only. The only thing I am particular about is lipstick... I like the ones that stay on all day. I hate to get all fixed up, only to eat something and have no lipstick left! Other than that, I just buy whatever appeals at the time I purchase, at whatever store I am standing in!

Ate too much this weekend. I took Avery to a birthday party on Sat, and ate the junk they had. Then we had a cookout with friends, and I had tons of chips and dip before dinner, then chocolate chip cookies and Death by Chocolate for dessert. Yesterday we went out to eat seafood, and I had fried shrimp and hushpuppies... YUMMO! Then Wynn and I split a piece of sweet cream caramel cheesecake. YUMMO doesn't even come close! Hope that 4 extra pounds this AM is water weight!

So Scilla was the lucky girl that caught the flowers. So of course I get the "you better be the one to catch the garter" threat so as the groom throws the garter, he got a little too much air under it and it went almost straight up. well the ring bearer in the front goes out into a full dive after it and gets it with ease. Luckly the DJ didn't let the little boy put it on her leg, he had him put it on her arm

He has a giant omphalocele. I appreciate your thoughts. It really is all we can do right now. thankfully, its not really affecting his quality of life yet.
