Hey we will be at the hotel at that time June 19-25.:thumbsup2 Hopefully we can meet. I want to be able to meet somebody from our wonderful board. Since I dont know how the rest of our week will go or where we will be, its so hard to paln.

It would be nice if we could meet. I too want to be able to meet somebody of our great board!!

That does sound like a good idea, especially if we could be in the Epcot resorts area. How did you go about renting points? I have not a clue...:confused3...and I tend to be one of those "nervous" people when it comes to trusting people I don't know to handle those things.

Well you do have to be careful over there but it takes trust on both sides. To give you an idea of cost a BC 1 brm is 30 points in the summer sunday-thursday. Points sell between $10-$12. BC/BW are the highest pointwise but in a great location. OTOH OKW is only 20 points per night so that is a consideration too.

I am the same way. I get very uptight when trying to do something like that, without the step by step tutorial. I don't get how the points work for which resort and such, so I would have no clue how many to rent. Could I stay at YC with points, or a mod? Is it only certain resorts?

it makes me nuts spending over $1000 for 2 nights.

If I told Wynn we were spending $1000 for 2 nights... he would have me committed!!:rotfl: We are staying 6 nights/7 days at CSR for $2600, and that is with 7 days hopper tickets and dining.

I know it's making me nuts too but I have a stubborn DH. He doesn't want to drive so a rental & staying OP for 2 nights is out but is also doesn't want to use the points for the weekends (it's more than double points on the weekend) I'm not pushing it. Whatever makes him happy to get him back to Disney, I'll do it.

Wow great price!. Okay my advise for you is don't add a 3rd & don't let the other two grow up;)

Someone tell me to sign off. If I don't get some work done, I'll never be able to afford those 2 nights:rotfl2:

I didn't think you could rent points for cruises, but don't quote me because I am probably wrong.

I went onto the Rent/Trade board. I'm not sure that would even work for us as we would need a 2 BR and it seems like all the points available are too low for that.

I know you can use them for a cruise, but I don't know if you can rent them. I also don't have a clue as to how to get enough for that. Posted the question there, so I'll let you know.

I have to take Star to the vet in just a bit. She went in yesterday for her shots. This AM she can barely walk, and I had to carry her down the steps to potty. I think she is just sore, but she is really pathetic. I called them about giving her something for pain, but they want to see her. I use Banfield, and have their insurance, so all of her visits are free. I might as well put it to use and take her in.

Good luck with Star. I would have been apprehensive about bringing her in so soon after a shot. But since you have the insurance, why not? I kinda wished I knew about insurance for dogs when we bought Jake back in 1995. He has seizures and all those initial visits added up quickly. Too late now.

I pay $16/month ($192/year) for her. Her normal Dr appt with shots would be over $200 twice a year. They pay everything except meds for her. We have had to take her in 3 times for sick visits, 1 requiring 2 follow-up appts. Those are over $50 just for the office visit normally. According to my bill from yesterday, I have paid $250 so far (just got it a year ago) and it has saved me over $1000.

Poor Star! I hope she gets to feeling better real soon!

That sounds like you save a bunch... I swear, I've made my vet a millionaire just from little 'ole 8 lb. Maddie... I'm an overprotective mom!

How would I go about renting points for a cruise? I tried the calculators, but they only list resorts. How do you add tickets and DDP in WDW?

It would be cheaper to pay directly. The points are high for the cruises. I'm also guessing most will not rent points for cruises as once they do & the reservation is cancelled for some reason they owner can not use the points at a DVC resort. Only at other places outside WDW which can be difficult to get at the last minute.

You are allowed 5 in a 1 brm. They just don't advertise it.;)

I hope Star is ok. I worry about my dogs like children.Lucky you have insurance. With all the dogs we have had, we never got the insurance. I am just never sure if it would be a good investment or not. My neighbor got it, and figured it that it cost more for an insurance then her regular vet bills:confused3
